Glad you enjoyed your break together Dawnie, and nice that you still get on well enough without the children around you.

Glad you had such a good time... even if you had to come back to earth with a bump, it's lovely to get away for a bit.

Love

Puss

was very self concious on it though but at least I could go round easily.

Am refreshed is just all the screeching from the children now and the piles of washing that go with holidays.

At least the house was still standing when we got back even after leaving a 16 year old in it for a few days.

I managed to control myself on the plane although it was very hard not to jump up and try and get off, didnt think my claustrophobia would be on the plane but it struck.

Hotel was very nice and was just across the road from the beach (the one that had reports of ecoli ) and we could sit out on the balcolny and watch the world go by. Hotel had an aviary full of budgies and an outdoor pool.

Surprised myself by how much I managed to do although we did hire a scooter for me to go round Durrells Zoo which made it a lot easier. Did try and leave hubby there with the orangutans and gorillas but he followed me out.
Going to Devils Hole was a bad move but was impressive, even a scooter couldnt of got up the hill but I managed it with a bit of help from Steve just hope there were no cameras and people laughing at me.

War Tunnels were really interesting and well laid out making it all make sense not just dates thrown at you, and very thought provoking.

Persauded hubby to go on boat round some of the coast and thought he would be sick but no was me that got sicky but was good to see the island from the sea. After that we went to see teh Battle of Flowers parade, really impressive floats with Christopher Biggins as Mr Battle. One of the floats the driver collapsed and it went into the central reservation, good job they are only going very slowly.
When we went for a final drive round the island on Saturday saw some of them parked up in their parishes which was good could get a better look at them.

Have been totally relaxed all week, apart from the night I was screaming and woke up not knowing where I was thinking I was being strangled (was the sheet over my face) and had to get to the balcony for fresh air on my face)

Wanted to bring a Jersey cow home as they are so cute but Hubs wouldnt let me did try and negotiate a piglet as well but he wasnt having that either.

Both ways made the bleepers go off and had to be frisked, going out was because of my belt and they took my stick off me so held onto machine which apparently sets it off, on way back was just my belt, pity wasnt a nice young man frisking.

Was great having a week of just me and Steve showed we can still put up with each other even after 21 years.

Is definitely back to reality now but was good for a week.

well we are back and I am under a mountain of washing and children getting at each other so am ready for another holiday.

Must rememeber next time to leave complete instructiuons for dishwasher as came home to it still switched on and dirty mouldy plates in, plus a sink of pans that someoe didnt do before they left so were there for 4 days (and she moans that we are messy lol), mind you she did call me to check on what could go in washing machine together and dried it, and cleaned the bathroom so that was ok to come back to .
