She was the very first car I bought for myself, with my own money... the nasty salesman tried to get me to buy a smaller car, more suited to a woman, lol.... so I went to a different salesman and bought a 2 litre Carina, lololol

Kitty, I have had Suzee for 18 months now.... she is lovely, but as I said difficult for me to get in and out of when my RA is playing up, lol

Hubby has Maggie..... who we bought initially for me, and hubby intended to use Ariadne to drive to and from work. Ariadne was unhappy with that, and failed her MOT last year, which was when we got Suzee.

But I had a little bit of money saved.... and got Ariadne up and running again eventually.... tried to sell Suzee unsuccessfully :¬((

Maggie is lovely to drive... she is a Skoda Octavia Diesel... and I love to drive her. Hubby uses her cos she is more economical :¬((

Not sure what to do now.... might have to PE Suzee.

Yes, we tend to keep our cars and run them into the ground.

They get passed round between my son, daughter, wife and myself.

When you've had it for 10 or 12 years and driven maybe 100,000 miles, it's an old friend, not just a piece of machinery.

Lol Daff! Condolences for tomorrow.

Way back in the 70s I had a Wolsey 1100, very plae green. I loved her, all lovely woodwork dashboard and leather seats. inside looked smart still. Unfortunately 1100s had a problem in that the sub frame rusted. i had to have her taken to the scrap yard, I was so upset. Then had a bright yellow Honda Civic quite small, about the size of a metro. I hated that one and OH used to drive it more than me.

Only one other car I have really been attached to and that was a bright red VW Golf GTi. Super little car, wasn't so sad getting rid of that one a s our son had it.

Awwww bless, poor Ariadne:((

Don't let her see you cry as she leaves, or she will join in and leave a great big oil patch for you to clean up!

Suzee will grow on you, give her time:))

I do.... I have an L reg Toyota.... I absolutely love her, but she has finally decided to give up the ghost, and is being collected tomorrow to be taken to the *gulps* scrapyard.

I feel devastated.... now is that sad or is it pathetic, lolol!!

I have got a lovely bright yellow Polo, and she is a cheery thing.... but I can't get in or out of her on a bad day, lol

*whispers* I don't love her (her name is Suzee) as much as I love Ariadne!!
