Loved it!! I really am into these period dramas as It does sometimes bring to life the times my ancestors lived.I think though it doesnt always portray the poverty they lived in ie the vermin and dirt they had to live with

I have two episodes on the dvd recorder now, it is annoying as I keep losing the thread, it has not been well presented in continuity of time and length of episodes, I don't think.
I intend getting the book after Christmas so I can perhaps enjoy it more, been too bitty for me to get as much pleasure from it as I have from other similar dramas.

It is so true to the book, I am reading it and watching it, with the proviso I dont tell OH, what is going to happen next.

What a job it is to hold my tongue.

regarding having it in half hour chunks ... when Dickens first wrote this, and lots of his others, they were published in serial form, with a cliffhanger at the end of each one. So really the BBC are only being true to Dickens' original plan :-)

I am LOVING it. Got the book from the library and am going to start it tomorrow, wouldn't want to find out 'the secret' before I see it on TV!! Although I love Dickens, I always find him easier if I've 'seen' it first :-)
