Hi everyone,

yes, OH had a lovely 60th - full of nice surprises for him. Thank you for all the good wishes.

Have been having server problems which has drastically curtailed my time on the 'puter lately.

Enjoy your luxury, HZ. You deserve it and so does your DD :) Merle - I also had visions of you racing away on a skateboard :) Keep up the good work.

Glad your dau got home safely from India, JuneBB, such a nasty few weeks for travellers with Thailand and India.

We are picking cherries here - had to net the tree. My vegeys are coming on slowly - might have something for Chrissy but usually they don't get going till January. Must remember to plant my corn this weekend - was too late last year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ love to all, sorry we can't make it to the Chrissy Party, L'Oz, but I know it will be a good one.
Hi everyone,
Gosh another week gone by and the weekend almost over. The Xmas tree is up, the ham won (lol - yes we won a ham! ), the shoppers beginning to come out in droves ( very busy). It was School carols today and final assembly next Thursday. I have been walking at 6am each weekday - making me sleep well! And I have been spending some time backing up my files and getting my Gedcoms in order, general FH housekeeping that I had been letting go.
Merle I had a wild moment imagining your skateboard adventures lol.
Sandra I'm growing climbing beans this year for the first time (usually do bush), and they are only just flowering and seem to want to escape over the fence!
Tomatoes are looking good and I have my fruit fly baits out! I have begun digging the odd spudtater too.
But it seems like it's been windy here for three months on end, gets a bit tiring.
Have a good week everyone, Hz
Well its hello from from chief cook and bottle washer . . . as I take a well earned break from getting organised for TLR's conference which starts tomorrow . . .
Fridge just isn't big enough . . . well it is for most of the year . . teehee
Hope your all going along well, I am envious of the talk of vegie patches . . . well just a little . . think I will take the travel for now though and look forward to the veggie patch when I finally get to go back up home. I gave up on the idea of vegies here when they dinny survive me being away for long periods of time.
Merle, I hope things are coming along well for you, and that you are able to get out and about and get into the Christmas spirit.
Hz . . you are such a busy lady, I takes me hat off to you, and your talented beautiful DD . . Oh and not to forget the gorgeous Bz . . teehee
Looking forward to Sunday, and great catch up with Wattlers and the Printheth and Tz are staying over as well.
Well best get the A into G . . mind is busy thinking of all the things I still have to do so best get the body to catch up with it . .
Take care, stay well and give the grin gear a good work out
Easier on the eyes,but i think the text could be a bit darker. Although i have found if you enlarge the text it stands out a lot better.
If your having probs reading,and If your on Microsoft Internet explorer, you can go to .."View"... at the very top of your screen.....the go to "Text size"
Well, I certainly HATE the way that your tree looks, how in hell do we know the exact writing of siblings and such now, with such a small amount of space to do it, or am I, AGAIN too computer illiterate to understand
Oh my gosh, this is a bit different!!
Hello everyone, last day of school year today for DD17, she
cycled down the street and worked 2 hrs on the front counter to help us out this arvo as we were so busy I couldn't even get away to speech morning, it has been frantic all week.
I think we are organized for xmas, just have to accumulate all the bits we have decided on. I think my sister and partner are coming from Adelaide.
I had a delightful discovery this week via Ancestry, and as some of you may know my OH is a proud Kiwi. Well it appears I have an ALL-BLACK in MY family tree pmsl ! From around 1900 - I am drafting an email to the Ancestry contact to nail it all down lol. Now we have to go the the All-Black museum in Wellington and I'll be only too happy to do so ! OH was very amused ! I always thought this particular bloke's father had emigrated somewhere, as he simply disappeared after 1851, but I never ever found him in Australia with his cousins, and now he has popped up in NZ. Once again, the young men all left home leaving their sisters in the UK. Life must have been very difficult in the UK during 1845 - 1865 as so many males emigrated....
Here's hoping we get the predicted rain down south here this weekend, it would be marvellous to add to the dams. I have promised to get the sewing machine out this weekend, to run up some summer dresses, DD is suddenly interested in fashion and tired of her jeans and sneakers - so she wants to learn to sew! She has been googling some funky fashions and is determined to be a bit "different" - the things she likes look very 60's to me - just my period of fashion expertise as it turns out LOL ! I've got all my paper patterns from back then too - this could end up being real FUN ! I've even got fabric stashed .......
Better go and get some steak under the grill as OH will be home after a very long day soon - Elmer Fudd realises of course that the govt gets gst every time the dollars turn over, no wonder he wants us to spend spend spend.....
Hope the week has been kind to all, mwah, Hz
Ok - finally made it.
Hope you have a good day today L'Oz and are not too worn out.
it is raining (lightly) here this morning HZ so I hope that means that you got it first. We really needed it as it has been cloudy here but no rain for a while and i was shocked to see how much of my front garden and lawn had died.
Expecting Daphne from the Uk to visit next week and i think the front will have a very "Australian look" - ie bare and brown!
Going to have a look around.
Finally got back on here. 3rd Daughter Jackie has been in Horsepiddle all night trying to have her baby. Its being stubborn and is facing up. They are taking her to a Theatre to acess her, could be block and tackle pull out or caserian. Hopefully tonight I will have a well mended loving daughter and a healthy Grandchild again.
