I can't access my tree or any other that I should have access to.
The screen is completely white. Has this happened to anyone else ?

I can't 'sort' my pages either with the box at the top right hand corner of the page. You know what i mean; sorth by newest and oldest messages.
Tree still blank and no number of relations at the top.

I don't think it matters too much which site you are logged into, it is more to do with the speed of the connections from you to your ISP and thence from them to GR. GR also have many servers attached to the internet and if you are unlucky to connect to one that overloaded you will experience delays.

I use http://www.genesreunited.com/. Just tried my own tree of almost 3000 names and it is taking between 5 and 10 seconds. I am on Orange 8 mb broadband.

Whilst the screen is white, there should be a message bottom left of your browser telling you that is is connecting, waiting, reading etc.

Make sure you delete temp files regularly as if you don't, and there is insufficient space your computer has to start deleting previously loaded web pages whilst the file is loading. This delay can cause a time out and the tree fails to load.

GR's tree load seems to be particularly prone to this.

Joan,

Give the details of someone in your tree and we can look for them using the Quick Search to see if they are still there.

What browser and operating system are you on? Has anything changed recently in terms of updates or new installs?

Hi again
PROBLEM solved . I think.
OH had increased the security on internet explorer due to us being victims of internet fraud last week.
I can see my tree on medium high security but when he switches to high security it hides mine and others trees.
I think now is the time to invest in a tree programme.
Thanks all for your assistance.
Take care
Joan
