Good evening everyone, I've just crawled out of the woodwork to have a look at the thread. It's nice to see so many people have come back onto the thread and brought it back to life. :-) :-) :-)

Shelly, has your daughter checked for malware on her lappy? 'Malwarebytes' is a good anti-malware to download and it's free. It finds things that Norton sometimes misses. By the way, if I'd known you'd made us hot cross buns and coffee I'd have called in earlier.

Jean, you must feel like a new woman with your renewed sight. Save yourself a bit of money as well - now that you don't need glasses. :-)

Maddie, I see you've lost your lovely friend, must have been hard for you. It does make you think about not overworking and looking after yourself better. Mo's right, you're no better thought of for working long hours.

Sallie, that's handy that your hubby knows about computers and now that he's retired he'll be able to spend more time fixing any problems that crop up.

Mo, where are you today? Not like you not to pop in.

~~~~~~~~ to Huia, Dermot, Foggy, Yvonne, Samantha, BC, Elizabeth.
Sorry if I missed anybody but I only went back 2 pages. :-)
Take care everyone, special thoughts for Jean and BC...... <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Hi there everyone, just popping in to say hello.
To be honest Shelly, I don't know how to get rid of the pop ups either, so I can't help I'm afraid.
Like you Sallie, I have no fresh news to tell, so I will say cheers for now.
Just a quick look in to say hello to all you friendlies, hope that you are all okay.
No news today, it is very quiet on the boards, everyone must be short of news too, or they have all gone on holiday.
Love, Sallie.xxx
Oh Maddie what are you like girl, you will work yourself into the ground, and not be any better thought of by the powers that be.
Try and get a few days rest soon. Are you having a holiday this year hunny? you deserve one by the sounds of it.
I know what you mean about the quick changes in the weather. We had our grandaughter today, and she was sent minus her coat. We took her shopping, and I felt so guilty because it was nippy out, and we had our coats on. But within 20 minutes it had warmed up, and we were sweating cobs, and she was laughing her head of at us.
Hi Sallie,you and Alun must have been up with the larks to get to Derby by 8.30, cor luv a duck, I was just about opening my eyes at that time.
At least you are lucky having Alun, who understands about computing bits, Roly is worse than myself when it comes to diagnosing problems with my computer, he knows a big fat zero, and I know very very little.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, take care, Mo
Cooooooeeee Mo! Here I am!
Hello all you friendlies, hope you are all well. What a funny old day today, went out this morning in a light jacket, got cold! Came home, changed into a thicker one, and then ended up boiling!
I have been working quite a bit recently. All over Easter at least, and going in tomorrow too.
When my dear friend passed away a couple of weeks ago, a few of us said we would not overdo the working and take things a bit easier and enjoy ourselves a bit more, but needs must, and we have all gone back to doing weekends. Silly girls.
I am really looking forward to the weather being a bit warmer, I am a right chilly mortal, and love to sit in the sun to warm myself up.
Take care everyone, keep well and warm.
Hello to all the friendlies, hope you are all alright today.
We were in Derby by 8-30 this morning, it was windy, cold and wet there, but by the time we were leaving it had started to brighten up. As soon as we got home I put some washing in and by the it had finished it was dry and bright enough to peg it out and got it dried. Pleased about that, just got to iron it now, not my favourite
job.lol!!!
Mo, I am having trouble with my laptop now, one or two of the keys won't go down when I press them, will have to get Alun to look at it, I am not such a clever clogs
as you.LOL!!
Huia, Whitianga sounds a nice place for a holiday, wish I could go with you. LOL!!
Well I am going to start our making our dinner now, so will chat to you all again soon.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx
Hello friendlies,
Dermot. Rab. C Nesbitt, has been replaced by us lot rabbiting on. How are you doing Dermot, I hope the world is treating you well.
Huia, have a wonderful breal away, it may only be for a couple of days, with a memorial service in between, but a nice walk on the beach, with the wind blowing in your hair, will keep the cob webs at bay.
Isn't it nice when someone else does the cooking for us, even though it may cost a little.
Enjoy yourself Huia.
Jeni, I hope the new foals are doing well, and that Scarlett is not getting into to much mischief.LOL we both know what she's like.
How did the check up on your eyes go my sweet.
Sallie, don't tell me you have coaxed Alun into helping you with your Family research. Thats what comes with retirement, you have the time to do the things you always wanted to do, but never seemed to have the time.
Hi there Shelly and Maddie, where are you hiding yourselves ?
Take care all. Mo
Hi Jeni, lovely to see you post, it must feel great to be able to see clearly now that you have had the cataracts removed. Hope all went well for you at the check up.
Huia, enjoy your walk on the beach while you are away.
Love to all the friendlies.
Sally, I am also hoping to have a walk on the beach. It is a very popular place in the summer but we are now into late autumn so it wont be too crowded I hope.
Hello to all the friendlies, hope that you are all alright today.
Huia, hope that your granddaughter and her two children are okay. I'm sure you enjoyed yourself, especially with seeing the little ones.
Sounds as though you will have a nice couple of days away, although it is for the memorial service for a friend.
It will be nice to have your dinner out instead of making it your self and it will nice to spend some time looking around the town.
Shelley, yes it looks as though we just missed each other last night. Hope you and your family are all alright today.
We are busy doing family research at,, the moment, haven't done any for a couple of years, so we are trying to knock down the brick walls....not sure if we will have any success though.lol!!
Must go now, so that I can get a couple of jobs done.
Love to everyone.
Huia
Huia Report 24 Apr 2014 05:47
Hello to everybody on here when you wake up in the morning. It has been a damp day here today. Luckily it was fine yesterday when I drove down to Hamilton to visit granddaughter and her 2 children.
Tomorrow is Anzac Day here so I wont be going out in the morning, but I might think of going shopping in the afternoon.
I have just booked a room in a motel for 2 nights next week. It was very easy to do online, much easier than phoning because of my hearing problem. I am going to Whitianga on east coast of Coromandel peninsular, as somebody I know has died and there is a memorial service to him over there. I decided I couldn't do it there and back in 1 day, so this will be a bit of a holiday for me. It is not too expensive either, although I will have to get my dinner in the town as the motel doesn't have cooking facilities, but they do provide a breakfast. I am quite looking forward to it.
