Morning all, at last I have been allowed to join this thread, for 5 days I have been getting the 'Error message', but GR said there isn't a problem. I managed to get on this morning by pressing the post date so I haven't yet seen all the posts since I was on last.

Stephen and Matilyn, I do hope you are feeling better now, I think the 'winter' bug has affected a lot of us, and it doesn't seem to go away quickly.

We have had a couple of nice sunny days but very cold. we have also had snow, but that has gone now. The long range forecast has said we could have snow at Easter, so anyone planning to go away take your winter woollies.

Off to see to my horses after a hot cuppa, (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? tea or coffee for anyone who wants one.

Take care and stay safe and warm.
Jean xx

Evening everyone
Mo Joshua is nearly 6 months old (19th of the month)
Have been doing some knitted and crochet squares for a local charity who are making blankets for the elderly and needy.

Been to see hubby's uncle today, it is his birthday he is 93 years young.

Hope Stephen and Marilyn will soon be feeling better. These bugs are making us all suffer too long this year

Enjoy the evening folks

Hi folks,
Marilyn, I agree with you about the duvet. It costs about £12.00 to get one king size quilt done in the launderette here, mind you that is washing and drying, so yes it is cheaper to buy new ones.

Come on Stephen, shake that virus sweetie, it's taken it's toll on you hasn't it, bless you. Keep your chin up.

Linda, how old is young Joshua now? I hope the snow does keep away. so that you can have your cuddles with him.

SHELLY!!!!! good grief, I thought you had gone and left us flower. Come back and chat as soon as you can purleeze.

See ya later peeps.

My two new Rose bushes will have to wait until the weather gets warmer .

Going out shopping this afternoon for collection.... bought a King size duvet on line from Tesc@'s only £9 not worth cleaning the old one .....just plonk a new one on ..LOL

Evening
Brighter today but still bitterly cold. Been very windy too yesterday as well. Seem to have ended up with all the neighbours leaves !!! Not going in the cold to clear them though.
Still knitting, so cold can't get motivated to do much else.
Went to the gym yesterday the first time in over 4 weeks. Weight stayed the same at Weight Watchers, disappointing but at least no gain.
Joshua and his Mum are coming Thursday, so hope we stay clear of the white stuff. Really don't like it.

Sleep well and will try to add in the morning

Hi folks, this Bl**dy stupid, it looks like my posts have ben sent, but I haven't been able to see that they have gone.
Thanks for the p.m Marilyn, have just done as you suggested, and I seem to be here, but am unable to read whats been happening, apart from the day of posting.
But hey thats me, such a dim whit.

Sorry to hear that Marilyn and Stephen have been unwell. Jeni (jean) sent me a message on FB to let me know.

Like most of the country, we have had heavy snow, that today seems to be melting.
But further down the coast at Folkestone, the Euro-Tunnel shuttles are not running, due to the weather here and on the continent.
If you can, watch the news and you will see all the lorries being stacked on the motorway, causing any amount of problems.
Many of the roads had people sleeping in their cars overnight, as they couldn't continue any further.
Why the heck do we always have problems in this country, even though the gritter lorries were out working continuously, the roads are still un-drivable.

Well peeps, I will love you and leave you now, and will try and get back tomorrow to speak to you.

Hi Everyone !! how long have you all got ????? to hear me ????? LOL

Well I have had a very traumatic few weeks even months ....thought my days were numbered .LOL

When I came home from USA I was given Oxygen on the flight !! and was fighting for breath. it happened all of a sudden.

I had been having coughing fits and bringing up ....what I thought was phlegm due to bronchitis.....of which I had also had since Christmas.

But after seeing the doctor on my return to UK , was given more antibiotics as doctor said I still had a viral infection.. :-(
Well the very next day I couldn't sleep at night as my breathing was getting out of control never slept....but 5-30 am Pete rang 999...paramedics came and was not happy with me checked everything !! but still could not see why I was gasping for breath.....so off to hospital I go.
Got X-Ray & CT scan done ....nothing showed up !! blood tests were done took most of the day to do tests , still no diagnostics from the doctors.
At last came the chest Consultant.....some answers about to come true .

After 4 days in hospital to stabilize me....... the Diabetic tablets were withdrawn immediately( METFORMIN )....... apparently the phlegm I was coughing was called Lactic Acidosis its like a watery phlegm all caused by the Metformin tablets building up over 3years .Lactice Acidosis occurs when there is not enough oxygen in the bloodstream to metabolize the glucose the body ends up converting the glucose into lactic acid . that's it in a nut shell !!!!
Its a rare but serious side affect.....three out of every 100,000 people who take Metformin will develop this.......IT HAD TO ME ME :-(

Now I'm on another medication, but its left me very weak & tired so I'm really mainly resting not been on Lappy at all.

Now before I loose this message I'm going to send it before it goes , as its taken ages to tell you all LOL
I'm getting better by the hour .

Back tomorrow.....thanks for all thinking about me :-D
