Hi, Jane, Jude, Ann and Island,

I have blue tits in my bird box, he or she has been back and forth since i have been home around 3PM.
I have been unable to get a photo as it flys in and out so fast but will keep trying,

I thought we had had a murder in the garden this afternoon.Lot of feathers and bits all over the lawn.I thought one of the Wood Pigeons had been got ,but it was in fact a nest.All lined with little white feathers and twigs :-SI bet it was the blooming Magpie that had pulled it out of the hedge.

Foggy, your bird house is lovely :-D I hope you get some guests.

Afternoon Jude, sorry missed you there. Yes a good bird book is a must Foggy. We seem to be very short of birds in the garden at the moment, I think they have all gone into hibernation.

Have you managed to get a photo of your little bird Foggy. Although you won't want to disturb it or it will leave the nesting box.

Foggy ..... now that you have these brilliant nesting boxes you'll gonna have to learn summit. Get yourself a pair of Bino's:))

Hi Jude no photographs of the ducks yet, Hubby says he sees Mrs Duck on the nest every morning when he gets up at 6am but by the time I get up shes gone walk about and you can't see the eggs now as they are covered in leaves, ducks sit on their eggs for about a month and very soon after the last one has hatched they are off, so I am hoping that I will be at home on the day they hatch so I can take pictures at different stages of hatching. x

Foggy I think you are going to be hooked on the birds now.(the feathered ones I mean) ;-) ;-)

Yes the birds are blue tits, looked on google.
I have room for another box so will make one like a log cabin this time.

Just done a quick catch up.

There are a few more photo's on the blog from a week or so ago:)

We get the Buzzards and a Sparrow hawk but no kites.
To day we had 2 Starlings....rarely see them now.
l forgot to do the bird watch in January, shame about the Starlings, l wonder why they're are less....maybe to do with the bird desease??
A Greenfinch popped in the other day to, he did'nt stay long though:(
