Hi all, hope you are OK.

Ros if you go to http://www.plaidonline.com/oneStrokePainting.asp this is the company that Donna Dewberry works for and she started 'one stroke' She used to demonstrate occasionally on QVC but I see they are now on a different American shopping channel.

Jude, sorry I don't have these Cd's but I am sure they will be fabulous, I always look for the days on no P&P before I buy from them as I think compared to other sites their p&p is quite high. QVC has very high postage as well, need to buy the bundled good.

Hope you are all safe and warm

Thanks, Girls for all the lovely cards you sent to me following the death of my Mum. There have been so many complimentary comments made by family and friends . They have helped and comforted me.

Hazel, so please to hear that the cards have brought you some comfort at this very difficult time for you.

Well the snow is finally going, but now all the fields round here are flooded, what more can happen I wonder.

Barbara from Cornwall emailed me to apologise for sending out bought cards at Christmas to you all, but following the death of her husband really does not feel like making anything at the moment. She is waiting to go in for full knee replacement surgery on 17/2 as well which should make her more mobile and less pain, but will mean she will be housebound for quite a few weeks and as she lives in a very isolated cottage I am sure we all wish her a speedy recovery. She asked me to give all the birthday girls her love and tell them that she does think of them but that she finds posting very upsetting at present.

Jill, hope your workshops went well or go well if they have not taken place yet.

Hope you are all keeping well.

Double sided tape, do you find that some of it 'peels' easier than others? At the moment I am using sellotape and it is really hard to peel.

Ann, I get that some I spend ages trying to get the layer off!! I can buy the same make next time and no problems! Have tried the d/s on runners but it is very expensive for such a short amount. I do find the easy lift tape good, but if you are trying to place it to the edge of the card find I either go over the edge of leave it short. And there is always sticky dots - now I have never got on with them, get them everywhere!

I have different sizes of double sided tape , some easier than others to peel, glue dots , I agree awful but when you see Dawn Bibby on QVC she just flicks them on and foam squares too, Ros xx

When I started making cards I always used glue dots with no problem, then they changed them a bit, don't know how but they seemed slightly different and now I usually end up with my fingers stuck together and none on the material. I prefer DS tape especially for scrap booking.

Hi all,
Just back from a mid-week break in Center Parcs. Well had a nice change but oh the weather could have been a bit kinder. We left here on Monday last and I visited a Craft Shop nearby Center Parcs which I had seen advertised. Now, I have seen some craft shops, but none as big and with such an assortment as this one. I could have spent all day looking and buying.
On Tuesday the weather was bad with lots of snow and sleat and we visited Johan's sister who lives nearby and doesn't get out of the house very much following a stroke a few years ago. After leaving her we ran into really bad weather and it was difficult to find Center Parcs as the boards giving directions were all snowed over and we couldn't read the letters any more, and these were country lanes with no lighting!
On Wednesday we visited my daughter and visited a local shopping centre near her. The same thing happened to us on the way back to Center Parcs, thick snow and not being able to read the boards.
Thursday we decided to stay at Center Parcs and take it easy ready for travelling back today. This morning we had lots of rain, sleet and snow. Now we are home and I am not going out any more this weekend. I am going to use some of the things I bought in the Craft Shop.
As soon as we arrived home I put the washing machine on and Johan made a cup of tea and we read through the post. Time then for the computer - 80 e-mails to read! I think we are now up to date.
Talking of using double-sided tape or glue. I always use double-sided tape as I find glue so messy. Or is it me just messy!
I have never had trouble with double-sided tape being dried out, but I have had this with cellotape. I think it was a batch of cellotape that had been lying around too long.
Have a nice evening everybody.

Sylvia lovely to see you back pity the weather was not kinder to you. Still at least you managed to visit a nice craft shop and get lots of goodies!! Staying in, keeping warm and crafting.

Well cold here again today, but at least after the snow yesterday we have had the sun today.

Have 2 of the grandkids coming for the weekend so no crafting just very busy.....

Have a lovely weekend all of you.

Hi all,
Well I am on my own again.
I am wondering how Jill is getting along with her craft classes. Can you hear us Jill, or don't you have time for us now?
The weather is still miserable although not so cold during the day.
I have developed muscle pain in different places and it is painful. Will probably have to visit doctor again for an injection, but hope it might just go over.
I have spent most of the day in the kitchen, preparing meals for the week and freezing them in. I started to look at the computer and fell asleep and woke with Johan banging on the door as I hadn't started our dinner for today.
It's a nice feeling though having all the washing and ironing finished. I had 8 shirts of Johan's to iron.
My help just phoned to ask if she could come another day as her mother is 80 tomorrow and they are preparing a party for her.
It is Crocus holiday at the moment. Some call it half-term holiday, some say Crocus and some say Carnival. Depending where you are in the Netherlands is when Carnival begins. My granddaughter is going to the Carnival next week, but far too busy for me.They party the whole night long.
Have a nice evening girls

Hi Sylvia, I think Jill may be on holiday, was she going skiing again this year?

You put me to shame with all your cooking - and 8 shirts to iron, I am so pleased my OH does our ironing.

Been working on scrap book pages this weekend so cards have had a rest.
