Well ladies I gave in and took my doctors advice and have been on HRT now for a whole month. Can't say I feel any better, but my husband was losing patience with the seperate beds scenario.Night sweats haven't really improved but he's happy that I appear to be doing something about it.,one good side effect is the pills make me feel really nauseous ,so I'm off my food and have lost a little bit of weight, although they seem to be making me feel very weepy and I've had a period that has lasted 3 weeks .Dr. says it will settle within the first 3 months.Hormones........cant live with them ..........cant live without them lol

I'm like you Jane I have been neglecting this thread so I apologize and I hope everyone is OK, I have been very busy running between sorting out an elderly father in to a new care home and helping my eldest daughter with my granddaughter who has now started teething. poor daughter hasn't been out much during this bad weather, as it's not easy to go driving the car or go for walks in all this ice & snow.
I keep hoping this thaw we are having will last but then it snows again. we have had a lot of rain today.

Hi everyone
Pam hope you're feeling much better. I had a dose of it too but the good news is mine only lasted a week so hope you're the same and soon on the mend.
Decided I need to get fit and lose some weight so joined in with Camilla on gmtv (the dancing queen) oh boy am I unfit. Oh well reckon I'm in for some sore muscles but hopefully its doing me good.

Hello all, hope you're all ok and keeping warm...I've got a sore throat now!!! Gawd when will it end...roll on the spring!!

Went out yeasterday and got one or two bits, but boy was it cold and the shops seem deserted. Hubby has taken my car again today as his is very difficult in this weather as it's a rear wheeel drive job, and a bit quick too. I call it his mid life crisis car!

Am stuck at home too HWF...and don't mind one bit actually...was so glad to get in yesterday as the roads started to freeze again around here. We're out in the sticks a bit and we don't get our road gritted!!

Keep well ladies and let your bits dangle out the bed if you get too hot!!

Evening ladies, ha ha how right you are Jane!!

Hope that you're all keeping okay. we seem to be getting a bit of a thaw here in north Norfolk thank goodness...hate driving in the snow, so didn't go out last week! turning into a bit of a hermitt!

Going to have a reasonably early night and tomorrow go and stock up on what I call my feminine bits and pieces, nail varnish remover, body sprays and lotions etc . and a new eyeshadow or lipstick, it really does lift my spirits!!

Afternoon ladies, we've had a bit of a thaw here in Norfolk, but it's still very cold and now it's turnrd to sleety rain.

Hope everyone's keeping warm and dangling the old feet out of bed when you get too hot!! I thought of all these women over the UK with feet hanging out as I gave mine an air last night ( and me feet! )

I'm working tonight, so be back tomorrow evening I expect...

oh how I can sympathise with those in the change. I can happily report that my horrendous sweats stopped two months ago after more than 10 years day & night. Thought I'd never be normal again, the odd flush now and again but who cares......I can put up with that. Defo coming back as a man next time.

I do that also put my foot out the bed.

My daugther was in Scotland over xmas. She was glad to get back down here. As ex boyfriend(grand daugthers dad) wouldnt let them have the heating on.

Keep warm everyone

P.S Got my daugther and grand daugther here for weekend and she is on computer all the time so i dont get on here much in the day.

Hello ladies, Fiona it's funny isn't it that lots of us stick our feet out off the bed when we get too warm...I know I do and it seems to work. Bet it's freezing in Scotland...but you're used to it getting cold in the winter. Saw on the news the village that was completely cut off and they dropped stuff off to them by helicopter.

My postie seems to always make it, also the good old milkman. Thery're a 'lifeline' to the elderly aren't they.

Speak soon,

Pam. (Remember to stick your feet out girls!)

Hi Everyone
sorry your not so good Pam, this cold weather doesn't help when your feeling run down. try & keep warm.

Hazel, my hot flushes are also never there when you want them and I'm still battling with them at bed time ,mind you after sticking my feet out of the bed in this cold weather it doesn't take me long to cool down.

Hi Hazel, hope you warm up soon! I think I could be a bit low on the old iron level, I'll have to get some iron tablets i think. I've been a bit of a stay at home too this week, blooming weather!!
