Sallie Report 5 Jul 2009 22:17

Hi All,
A bit late looking in - I've been trying to get some information together, for a distant cousin of Alun's, living in Australia.

Mo, I'm really sorry about your granddaughter, but they can do so much these days, so hope for the best. I know sometimes, it's easier said than
done. Lets hope they will see her at the hospital on the 9th. At least you'll know that she will be in good hands, and I'm sure they will get it sorted sooner rather than later.

You have quite a busy week Mo, with Roly having his eye done, and your granddaughter going to the hospital. I wish them both, all the very best

Speak to you tomorrow, try not to worry too much Mo,

Sallie.

Mo, you know that I am here to listen to you, so anytime you need to talk, you know where I am.

Sallie

Sallie Report 6 Jul 2009 14:39

Mo, just looking in to see how things are today. I hope you are feeling a little bit better today. It will be nice when you get tomorrow and Thursday over.
Much cooler here today, which is good for me. Not a lover of hot weather at all - Alun thinks I'm a misery, because he loves it.

I'll look in later to see how things are going for you, Mo.

Hope everyone else is okay.

Best wishes,

Sallie.

Dear Mo, I am so sorry to hear about your granddaughter having cancer, I do hope they can do something for her, as Sally said if they have got it in time she will be ok, we will be all thinking and praying for her.
I do hope you get some relief from your warm weather I wish it was a bit warmer here in Bathurst,
I'm going to have a memory test at the aged care facilitys tomorrow,I would rather not know if I am losing my marbles but my daughters want to know if i am.
I wanted to do some gardening today but it was too cold, the exercise class was good today we did some polaties as well as the bikes. I weighed myself after my shower this morning I have lost almost a kilo, on thursday it will be water arobics which is nice as the water is warm.
Give Roly my best wishes for his operation on the 9th.
Hi June I hope you and J are well
Love & Hugs to everyone Marie from OZ.

Morning All
Oh, Mo, poor you what with your OH and Grandaughter both needing attention again. I do hope that things work out ok for all concerned. How is everyone else? Jean I hope that things are looking up in your part of the world. At least going walking is good for you and should help your swollen legs, though I do hope that they are nearly better by now.

All is well with us here, very busy as usual. I am trying to get all of our accounts and books up todate for the tax man. A job I really should try to do more regularly so that it doesn't become a last minute panic. One year I'll learn, but until then ........... One disadvantage of running your own business from home. Time management was never my strong point when I worked, so it's not likely that it will change too much now that I don't have to go into an office every day. I've been a full time Mum now for 13 years and loved every minute of it, so there are certainly loads of advantages.

All the children are well, Matthew is off to Austria on Fri for the week and Daniel is off next week to Guernsey, Herm & Sark, then back to Jersey for the Friday. It is their Activities Week. I wonder if other schools around an about do similar things. We had so many fantastic choices for the boys to do that they could do with a week like this for the next 10 years to get in everything that they liked the look of.

The little 2 are well. Luke has a Tag Rugby match today and then a tournament next Monday. He is so excited. They finish school on 17th, so are in permanent "Happy Mode" at the moment as not much gets done at this end of the term.

Enjoy your day.
DEBBIE

Mo in Kent Report 7 Jul 2009 18:39

Good evening all.
Well Roly is home, and the op is over. They have changed the system, since he had the other eye done. This time he had to have 17 different
eye drops in. The last time he only had 4.
It's a bit sore at the moment, but he did't go down to theatre till 4p.m,and came back out at 4.40. And we actually were back home by 5.30.
We had a really bad thunder storm, whilst he was in theatre, and I was afraid it would make him jump, I have a very vivid imagination, and I could
imagine the surgeon cutting right through his eye from him jumping, but he never even heard it.
Still no news on my grandaughter. I phoned my daughter, and she has not
heard what is going on either. Honest, kids. They don't realise how we worry about them. Mind you, she is nearly 22,so does not consider herself a child.
Oh Marie, you are never losing your marbles. You are as bright as a button, and twice as lovely.
Debbie,it's no wonder you are a bit behind with the account books. You have such a busy life, and a lovely family that you obviously treasure.
I hope the children enjoy their holidays. They have got nearly seven weeks off school haven't they? but I bet they really enjoy it.
It's such good news Jean, about J. I am really pleased for you both. You can get back to a bit more of a normality.
It is so nice to hear the smile in your voice, when you write on here. If you can understand what I am saying.
Hello to our Sallie,Sue and Huia. I hope you are well.
Thank you my friends, for all your kind wishes. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hello All,

Mo, hope all went well for Roly, and that you are feeling a bit better today.

Jean, so pleased that J is feeling so much better and that the wound has healed over. It will be lovely when you will be able to go on holiday.

Marie, you are doing really well with your weight loss. Keep up the good work! I hope your family are all alright.

Debbie, glad to see that everyone is well with you. Hope matthew and Daniel enjoy their time away - I'm sure they will though!
Just like you Debbie, I also enjoyed being a full time mum. As you say it certainly has it's advantages.

Speak to you all soon.

Best wishes,

Sallie.

Hi MO & Jean and everyone else..

Oh MO I was just reading about your Granddaughter, I'm sure they will work on her real quick.
Did you know I had Cervical Cancer 2yrs ago ?
Well my tumor was 3ins in diameter and it had spread outside of the cervix, with 6 weeks of Radio therapy and Chemo. I survived that cancer.
So MO do not worry the medical team in these cancer units of the second to none and they will treat your granddaughter well, and get her back to normal I'm sure of that.
Its a shock to be told you have cancer, but a bigger one when told it has spread......So please don't worry, and tell her not to worry.
Its so curable these days MO.

That said its bought it all back to me......but here I am on holiday ,and she will be too soon.

Take care all of you, just come in from the swimming pool .grand kids are knackered with too much swimming !!

Thank you Marilyn, for your words of comfort. You are such a comfort to me.
I hope you are still enjoying your holiday, and that the children are not wearing you out to much.
I bet you are felling much better after your sleep,Huia.
How is your O.H now? Is he sleeping ant better now. And is he still having his walks.
Well girls,I will let you all in on a little secret. It's our Sallies birthday tommorrow.
I hope you have a wonderful day Sallie, and don't forget,I am still older than you, and always will be. lol
Roly is good today. His pupil is still dilated. He put his glasses on this morning, and had to take them off,as they were distorting his vision.
It does seem strange seeing him without them.
Still no news on my grandaughter. I am not sure if she is going into hospital tommorrow or not. I will let you all know as soon as I know.

See,I told you,you were as sane as the rest of us mad lot Marie. No seriously,it's good news that you passed your memory test.
News about my grandaughter now.
My daughter had a phone call from my G.D's boyfriend, telling her that my G.D had been in to hospital, and had had the cells removed.
The problem being,G.D had not told her mum, that she was going in.
My daughter is very upset about it,but Grandaughter's reason for not telling
her is,she was fed up of people asking her when she was going into hospital. Honest kids what would you do with them.
She has now got to wait six weeks for her results.
Oh oh got to go ,my daughter has just turned up.
Speak to you all soon. Love to all Mo xxx

Hello All,

First of all, thank you for sending me your birthday wishes and cheers!

Marie, so pleased that you passed your memory test. I thought that it would all be alright. July is a good month to be born in. Happy Birthday to your son for the 11th.

Marilyn, I can see that you are still enjoying your holiday in the U.S. You're still managing to get a bit of time on your computer - it's nice to hear from you, and that you are having a lovely holiday.

Mo, hope your daughter was not quite so upset when she called round to see you. As you say, kids what can you do with them!

Hope everyone else is alright.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

Love, Sallie. xx

Hi everyone.
It was daughter number three Sallie, not the mum of little miss naughty.
We are agreed on the fact that she should have told her mum, even if she did not want the rest of us to know.
Well girls,it's the weekend again. I can't believe how quickly they come round.
Has anyone got anything exciting happening.
I have to take Roly to get his xray done on his spine tommorrow. I did not
realise that did them on Saturdays, but he has an appointment at 12.10.
I wonder where our Jean has got to,we have not heard from her in a while.
Whats the weather like where you all are? It has been quite nice here, not to hot,but dry. At least I got all the bedding dry.
I hope to hear from you all soon. Love to all. Mo xxx

Sorry Mo, I thought that it was Carla's mum - my mistake.
Quite agree with you all, Carla should have told her mum, if no one else.
I hope Roly gets on alright tomorrow. My friend that goes into hospital on Tuesday for an operation, had an MRI scan on a Saturday - like you Mo, I didn't realise that they did xrays on a Saturday, except for emergencies.

Jean, it's nice to hear from you. I hope J is feeling better now.
Alun took me to Hobbycraft earlier on, I wanted to get a couple of bits and bobs, so that I can get on with the scrapbook I am making for a birthday present.

Tomorrow morning I have to go up town, and then in the evening Alun and I are going to a retirement do. Before Alun retired from teaching, she was his Head of the Maths Department. I know her quite well, because every now and again, we all use to go out for a meal together. Most of them have retired from teaching now, and got other jobs.
It will be nice to see the others tomorrow night!

Well, I hope you will enjoy the weekend.

Best wishes,

Sallie.
