Morning Daff & Mr Daff

Just in a bit of a panic here,was thinking about your last thread,
it wasn't deleted because of any of the jokes i put on was it ?
I did choose them carefully ,i didn't think they would upset anyone but you never know.
If it was removed for that reason all i can do is apologise from the bottom of my heart,
also if it was removed for that reason I wish the person who reported it had PM'd me and asked me to delete the offending joke,
i would of gladly removed it.

I was convinced nobody would be so petty minded as to report Daff's lovely thread....but? Have written to them three times but the answers were not satisfactory. l doubt it was the jokes, although l must admit l don't read them all either.

I too have had a reasonable reply from Estelle which says more or less what she said to Taff. that was after complaining about the other reply I got. I have always found Estelle to be very reasonable and able to reply without using 'stock' answers.

Taff, same as Ann, at least Estelle gave a semi-reasonable answer. I am trying to decipher one of her sentences though.... she seems to be saying that they keep a record of reported posts, but cannot give you a reason for deleting unless they know which post and author was reported. Have I got that right? A bit contradictory!!

But at least it is clear that there was a complaint. I wonder if the complainer would be brave enough to own up... and explain what was so offensive?

I had another reply, this time from Laura, directing me to the Guidelines for board use. My reply said that I was surprised that every posting on Daffs support thread breached the guidelines. I also added that my finger was going to be busy on the review button.

OK, I have just skimmed through the guidelines.
First, we must use the English language. Now my name is a Maori name but I dont think there is an English name for the bird so how do I sign myself? And there are a few Welsh words that have been used on the thread and probably other languages too. But then English is an evolving language. If we were to use pure English few of us would understand what was being said.
Second, dont deviate from the topic of the message board. Now that means that we should all have been concentrating on Daff's treatment, not posting jokes and telling her how our day has been etc (not getting at you BM).
3rd, dont submit the same or similar material more than once. We have said 'hope you are doing fine' or words to that effect several times on the thread.

So Daffs support thread definitely breached the guidelines in several areas (pedantic morons that some people are).

Hi Daff cant quite believe what i have been reading up to this page. Glad to see you are still improving.

Well our plants are finally growing but oh forgot to label most of them and as neither of us are gardeners we are not sure what is growing where so will have a surprise lol. Think he may have over done the carrots as he didnt think they were growing so kept planting more and now they are going mad lol. Luckily all 4 of my children love carrots lol.

Now i work all day mon to fri dont get into Hereford town centre much whats left of it.
