Doctor pasted some grey stuff on Owen's belly button to disolve the remaining skin, so hopefully it should look "normal", his weight is now 9lb 15oz. We dipped his dummy in gravy again tonight and he couldn't get enough of it lol.

Fiona I can not describe the feeling of your first grandchild being born, it, for me, is the best thing ever. We have even been starting to plan Christmas, not done that for a few years lol. Even better, you get to spoil them rotten.

Hi Every one
Glad Baby Owen is well, hardly believe it's been 7 weeks since he arrived . never heard of tapeing coins to Belly buttons, is that done for a certain reason ?
I've got 3 1/2 weeks to go till my daughters baby is due, she is getting things together for the baby bag and her hospital bag, not sure how long she will be in after baby is born. maybe 1 night maybe more.
I was talking to MIL about hospital confinments, back in 1957 she had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks, first week totaly confined to bed, second week she was alowed up.

when I had daughter's no 1 &2 in 1980 & 87 I was in for 1 week.
now depending how mother and child is they are throwing (lol) you out after 1 night. I said she should stay in and get as much rest as she can

I wish I had a remedy for the old " tummy demons "......... really I think it is just a time thing with most babies. My younget Grand daughter is 13 weeks old this Wednesday..........she is getting them less these days.

Baby Owen sounds lovely..........bless him : ))

Well Owen is 7 and a half weeks old, giggles and smiles galore and still very very cuddly. Anyone got any remedies for windy belly, he was so uncomfortable today, don't know if it is windy belly or where his belly button still hasn't dried up, it looks sore doctor has put him on anti biotics, bless him.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

PS He likes my gravy lol

Good evening all. Owen is 4 weeks and 2 days old, still so perfect. He has changed a lot since arriving and has put on just over 2lb ! He eats well, sleeps well and empties very well lol. Rhiannon and Ross are doing really well with him they are so natural. I can not thank you all enough for all your kind words, they all mean so much to all of us. Thank you my friends.

Must be so quiet without Owen and family there now, Judy.

It's probably difficult to imagine a time when he wasn't around even though he's only a week old ..........!!!

Best of luck to Rhiannon and Ross - sure they'll do great and they are now a proper little family. Do they live very far away from you? Whatever, I'm sure will you be seeing them as often as you possibly can ....lol

Love

Owen is now a week old and still perfect. They went home today, ooh it feels too quiet, got so used to seeing him. Have complete confidence in Rhiannon and Ross's abilities. They are both naturals. So proud of them.
