I hadn't heard of Bonnie Tyler for many years until she was asked to do this years Eurovision. She did have some good hits in her day, though she is 61 now.

Last year we had Englebert Humperdink ? :-0

It has often been said how political the voting is. I've watched bits of it here and some of the acts are woeful. I should have a look at this years. I used to like Bonnie Tyler - is she still popular in the UK?

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2013 22:56

As predicted, the voting in the Eurovision is totally political :-D the same countries vote for the same countries every year, regardless of the song.
It's so funny to watch, as we know what's coming. The UK is doing very badly, but we don't have many friends in Europe.

Just noticed your post Emma - the grandies :-) are coming along very well. I love looking at your avatar - they are lovely little girls.

I always keep my keys in my handbag because I know that I won't forget to take my bag with me. OH and son leave their keys on keyhooks on the inside of the front door. They are handy but both have walked out without their keys. My next door neighbour and my brother both have spare keys so all is not lost - as long as they are home :-0

Good Morning Sue,

Glad that you had a nice afternoon yesterday with the craft fair and lunch out, nice to do things like that.

it is a horrible feeling when you lock yourself out of the house and there's no one home. We've done it a couple of times.
I recently left my bunch of keys on the checkout at the supermarket. The cashier ran out into the carpark to look for me, but I hadn't reached the car, so didn't realise.
It was kind of her to run after me :-)

Hello Tec - nice that it was warm enough to potter in the garden. My geraniums are looking a bit straggly so I think I'll cut them back although they are still flowering.

My daughter enjoys Eurovision - she looks forward to it. I doubt if she'll watch it live but I know she will watch it later in the day.

I had a nice afternoon yesterday (Sat.) There was a craft fair in town so I went to have a look around. It was good and I enjoyed watching a couple of demonstrations. Then I met up with OH and we had lunch. It was mild and sunny until about 3pm and then it cooled rapidly.

Just as we were about to have tea my daughter rang in a panic because she had locked herself out of the house. She was on her own as the children were with their father and SIL had gone to the rugby. So of course I went off with the spare key. Poor girl was nearly frozen solid :-D

Hello :-)

Been quite nice day here today, sunny and dry, though a little cool. Tidied up the front garden, where I have lots of pots. Surprisingly some of the geraniums have survived the winter, and putting on new growth, so I shall feed them and see what happens. Normally I discard the remnants of last summers plants and buy new ones.
Watching the Eurovision Song Contest - the UK has done very badly in recent years, and I'm not very optimistic about this years song either, but good luck to Bonnie Tyler, I'm sure she did her best with what she had.
So much of the voting is political which makes a farce of the whole thing really.
I believe it is going out live in Australia too, but a bit early for them to watch.

Take care all, I do look in even though I don't add to your thread :-)

Ok....IGP's clearing caches...now how do I do that? I'm using Firefox.

I get the error message just about every time I post.

Eve woke at 4.30, so I had to get up and settle her. She shouted out at 6.30 which woke me up, but she just went back to sleep. It was 7am when a chirpy little voice was shouting for grandma. I am getting too old for this lark.

Carolee Report 18 May 2013 09:38

I'll try anything...I'm game :-D

Persephone

Persephone Report 18 May 2013 09:19

What Huia has said can work... I have done that...

Maybe a case of IPG 's clearing caches etc which can help.

Huia

Huia Report 18 May 2013 08:22

I find if I count 10 seconds after hitting submit, I then hit the refresh button, and it will enter without the error message, but if I leave it more than 10 seconds I am likely to get the E message. You can hit the back arrow and then the refresh button, when you get The Message, it will then enter, if I remember rightly.

Yes Berona, its the same for me.
Although the only way I can read this thread is if I click on post date. Therefore I cannot read back on previous posts.

I sent GR another email this morning, when I was angry. Good thing I deleted the bad words before sending lol

Persie, if you can help me, I'd be grateful <3

Berona

Berona Report 18 May 2013 07:32

Carole - I get them when I post. Everything seems to be going OK, then I hit 'submit' and after a long wait, I get bombed out with the error message. Sometimes I wait so long that I think I haven't pressed the key properly, so I hit it again. After being thrown out, I come back in and find that I have posted twice. Then I have to delete one - and that takes time too. I get it worse after GMT midnight, which is no doubt when they do maintenance - and with the site never shutting down, I suppose they have to do it when the drain on the usage, is at its lowest. Maintenance time is bad enough - even worse if they are trying new programs - but when can they try them? I just hope that any new programs are for the improvement of the site.

Persephone

Persephone Report 18 May 2013 07:04

I think I need to have a chat with our Carole if she is continually getting the error message.

I realise me being a returner to the boards I am getting preferential treatment and no error messages have ensued but then I very rarely had them before either.

I am surprised that Linda was only ever caned the once for talking in the milk queue.

I got a right telling off from one teacher when I told him he was not allowed to strap me... but he didn't strap me... so it worked. But I have to admit I was often in trouble... no surprise there then. :-)

Hi everyone,

Does anyone on here keep getting the error message? its driving me crazy, its why I hardly come on here.
Ive sent messages to GR, still the problem persists. When I posted yesterday, I kept getting error message, so give up in frustration.
I cant read back on this thread at all, so sorry I cant answer anyone.
