We used to slice our own bread. The bread itself was delivered by the baker. He had a motor van, but very early our milkman still used a horse and cart.
It was the Earl of Sandwich who asked for a piece of meet between two pieces of bread. Fortunately, it wasn't Lord Cardigan. Then we would all be eating bacon cardigans.

A piece of bread between 2 slices of bacon sounds good to me....

Hi Fiona,
What a pink day is that it's a fund raiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. Tou pay £2 and get a pink sticker as well.
I've got this bright pink jumper which I got last year!
