It doesn't help to be or appear to be too independent Mummo. Surely the community nurse should call in occasionally?

Rambling

Rambling Report 3 Feb 2010 17:37

Mummo get on to your doctor and ask for some help...you should at very least be entitled to community nurse or occupational therapist coming round to assess whats needed.

Jane Report 3 Feb 2010 17:24

I'm surprised Mummo.I would have thought you might have a community nurse who would come in to make sure Eddie and you are doing ok.You know maybe to help with bed bath and to check pressure areas etc.

Not really much more to tell yet, still waiting for the 12th to have the latest x rays, l really hope the will say that Ed doesn't have to wear the braces anymore as 1, he is banking on it and l keep telling him not to and 2, l am getting really tired now, but if l do have to keep doing it l will (just me having my little moan), lol.
Hope your all keeping well if you have any spare energy please send it to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.tipking.co.uk/Health/Remedies/Sore_throat/

found this site it got quite a few remdies on it like honey and vinegar ......

To soothe a sore throat, mix equal parts honey and vinegar together, the honey soothes and eases the pain, and the vinegar is a natural antiseptic. I usually use, apple cider vinegar as it tastes a little better, but any vinegar should do.

or

For a sore throat, gargle with a glass of warm water containing ½tsp (2.5g) each of baking soda and salt.

Well its Eddies 62nd birthday today............wonder what we will do, lol.
I have just cooked him a late breakfast now that was a laugh, him laying flat on his back trying to eat it, l think he has more in the bed than in his mouth, don't worry l did feed him in the end.
Nothing really more to say about his recovery just a waiting game now but he has been suffering from a sore throat for quite a few days and nothing seems to help clear it...........any ldeas ?????
Right better do the washing up and get the patient washed (he can do most of it himself, thank God, lol.) xxx
