What a day, lam so tired so came home early from the hospital as l was feeling sick.
While l was there two doctors came and decided they are now not going to operate, they were waiting for a new neck brace to arrive at the hospital called a Miami one, (even the staff had never heard of it) then when it arrives they are going to position the bed so instead of having a feeding tube he will be able to hopefully eat & drink something but at the same time he is not allow to move and has to keep his body straight, they think he might have a slight stoop when everything knits together and when he comes home he will have to wear a brace for a while. He is quite cheerful in himself but wouldn't let go of my hand..........deep down l think he is petrified, God it hurts to see him lying there like that but l'm positive, he will come out ok.
I can not thank the staff in Intensive care enough, nothing is to much trouble, may God bless all our Doctors & nurses.
I have read all your messages............once again you have done yourselfs proud, it is all of you that get us through these hard times when we call for some support. I know l've already said it today but l really mean it when l say a big thankyou to you all. xxxx

Just seen that he wont be having an op, better really as they always carry their own risks. it sounds as if he is getting good care in there. Bless him, gripping your hand, you are giving him strength.

Try and eat something, that is why you feel sick I bet you are not eating, you are still in shock, at least if you can't eat drink some soup or something.

I've only just seen this.
Positive thoughts winging their way to you and Eddie, Mummo.
You MUST eat, sleep and take good care of yourself - Eddie will need you when he comes out of hospital - you can't afford to be ill now.
The hospital are obviously thinking carefully about what is best (hence not an immediate operation), so he is in the safest place and the best of hands.

take care
