Hi all, well Ed has had the drain taken out of his lung today as it has inflated its self now, so that made him feel a bit better, hasn't really eaten much, he had a cup of tea while l was there and promptly brought it back up, poor nurses didn't know what to do as they can't sit him up so sick tray was pretty useless and time one of them went to get a bag it was all over the bed, poor Ed its so painful when they have to change sheets or roll him every few hours as the breaks in his back have to keep still but must be done to prevent bed sores.
I do find his memory some what strange, he keeps asking what day it is and he even told me he'd brought the newspapers yesterday for me, when l told him l didn't think he did, we had a bit of a laugh over that ,probably the drugs that they are giving him ,that are making him feel like that.
I did tell him about all of you from here and he told me to say thankyou. x
I feel a bit happier tonight as my daughter is arriving tomorrow l have to pick her up at Southampton Airport at 8.50 am, and she is staying for a week so thats good.
It does help when l visit that l only have to pay £1.20 a day for parking as if you have someone in Intensive Care you have a voucher to use so that does help with the cost of parking.
Once again thankyou to you all and to all of you that have lit candles for Eddie, that was so kind of you.
I really do hope you all have a good weekend and me and Ed will have have the best one possible.
Oh dear l have rambled a bit this evening on here but l hope you understand what l'm trying to say, lol.
Speak to you all soon, xxxxx

Thank you for letting us know how things are going Mummo .
It's good to hear that your daughter will be with you soon , I expect you could do with the moral support .
As you say it's probably the drugs that Eddie is on that has him confused , that and the sheer trauma of the accident . Be prepared for him to have the odd " wobbly " moment within the next few days .

And never you mind about " ramberling on " , we are all here to be listening ears : )) chin up xxx

I am glad that your daughter is coming to keep you company as well as to see her Dad. I think you said he was on Morphine, that will be what is making his mind a bit funny, but it will also be helping the pain.

Sending lots of thoughts his way again.

Mummo, I got distracted last night and forgot to post a message wishing Eddie all the very best, glad to see that he is feeling better today. Just make sure that you take care of yourself so that when Eddie gets out of hospital you will have the strength to help his recovery.

Take care

You will be so pleased to see your daughter but don't try to put on a brave face, let things out and it will help you feel better afterwards. I am sure she will give you a bit of tlc while she is home and it will give her Dad a boost to see her.
Hope things go ok and he can start taking a little nourishment and fluids without being sick so that he too can keep his strength up. Things will get better soon I am sure.

Morning Mummo, you can catch up on your sleep once your daughter arrives. It will be a great relief for you and she can shoulder a little of the burden. Hoping there is a big improvement in Ed when you see him today. BCXX
