its getting cloudy now i have not worn a cardigan at all this month we have had a lovely June here . 3

Morning Maz - its rather muggy here. Its supposed to be the hottest day of the year so far, but showers expected. Yuk. All change tomorrow and much cooler/colder but with rain. When are we going to have summer? I've only worn a T shirt on 2 days this year, and that's with a cardi on top :-|

YG that would be good A is away then i think its the first week but if you do the second week that should be ok

Eldest has told us about a room rental site they use when they go away called Airbnb.com. They are mainly rooms rented out in private houses rather than formal B&B's. I've been browsing that for Oxford at the end of July - we have an invitiation to a seminar in Thame (not yet confirmed) and we were thinking of combining the two. Not sure if OH would agree as he prefers more impersonal hotels, but not their prices!

The site might be an idea if you and YG do decide to meet midway and you want to spend less time travelling on the same day.

Possibly, although weekends tend to be bad with engineering works, particularly on the line we travel on :-P :-P

I am considering cancelling one of my weeks holidays, as I think I may need to keep more back for when the work is done on the bungalow. If I do, I will have a couple of days spare to use.

Awwww well we will have to see what we can do perhaps one weekend ???

We are away the first 2 weeks of August and then I have the 2 mini Gooners the week after while their Mum is away on her break.

evening all ,it is a shame we are all so far away really .like you say we have a good laugh together ,
froggy and i have been to eaglescliffe today ,preston park an ideal spot for us to meet but miles away its a museum and country house by the tees river .it has a street of shops similar to beamish but smaller ,the weather was lovely so made a real break .

Well, what ever the problem was, its OK now :-D

Bit of a shambles at work today; After 20 minutes of waiting it was discovered that the teacher who booked the mid morning re-take session forgot to tell the one and only student to attend school. As he hadn't heard from the school, he'd gone away for a few days. (he's year 13 and officially has left)
Consequently, there was enough time to come home for lunch. *My* department is thinking of billing *her* faculty for my time. As OH and I are away next week, it will have to be re-booked for the following week or July......by which time he'll have probably forgotten everything!

Hope today was better for you YG - at least with LG trying to work out the logistics for a midway meet, you'll have something to look forward to.
Just think of it LG - no more weekle Brownies or Rainbows after the end of July.
