I do hope so YG.

YG Report 12 Apr 2014 21:06

Thanks, LG. It is worrying when it's your sight at risk. I usually get the bubbles when they first inject the fluid, but this is totally different. Maybe it will be a better result because of it!! :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 12 Apr 2014 20:59

OH has had that and it did go away after a couple of days. Best try and rest it as much as you can and hopefully the soreness will go quickly. <3

YG

YG Report 12 Apr 2014 20:53

It was really sore earlier on, but is settling down a little. The only thing this time is that I have big black floater at the bottom of my vision. I have never had them before and this is huge but they seem to think it is normal.

LaGooner Report 12 Apr 2014 20:24

Well lets see what happens,hoping I can put off surgery for a good while.

How is your eye feeling now <3

YG

YG Report 12 Apr 2014 19:48

Evening LG.

I hope the cortisone keeps the knee pain free for you. If not, then at least the consultant is keeping his eye on the situation on a regular basis, so you won't have to wait too long for an end result.

LaGooner Report 12 Apr 2014 19:25

Evening one and all. I have been asleep most of the afternoon as I was injected with a cocktail of things including Cortisone. Boy it made me feel queasy and still feeling a little bit off now. The consultant was really good and explained the course of action for me very carefully and helped me make what we think is the best decision . I have to go back in 3 months and see him again. Hopefully if the the injections last on me free from pain they will carry on for about another 2 doses then it will be keyhole surgery and if that does not cure it I will be getting a new joint. I am happy with this and at the moment I have no pain at all. YG the same had happened to Oh they changed his drops but now they seem to be causing irritation. We will ring Moorfields on Monday first thing and see what they say.

If I disappear again I have probably nodded off ;-) :-D :-D :-D

It's more!! The guy at work whose wife does the baking, brought in home made chocolate fudge yesterday and it was absolutely delicious :-D :-D :-D Apparently she loves baking but they don't want to eat it because of the calories, so she takes it work and sends some in to us with her husband :-D :-D :-D

Well I am back..Yet another one that I haven't seen before, but he is one of the main eye consultants. I have to see him in May to talk about changing to another drug for injecting, as the Lucentis isn't working :-( :-( :-(

YG

YG Report 12 Apr 2014 10:35

I've got a ready made salad and a piece of rib eye steak, so it won't take much preparing and some naughty cakes!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 12 Apr 2014 09:56

That's good on both counts YG!
Are you going to prepare an evening meal or snack in case you're still too squinty when you get hungry?

YG

YG Report 12 Apr 2014 09:52

Morning DET.

The engineer has been and done what he needed to, so the time is my own now to do some more unmentionables. I will be able to rest later this afternoon and evening. :-) :-)

I do normally like to stay in bed a little longer at weekends. I still tend to wake at the same time but am happy to make a cuppa and go back to bed with my kindle, but \i daren't this morning :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 12 Apr 2014 09:42

Morning all

It must be difficult to stay in bed at the weekend if you're normally up with the lark for 5 days a week; mind you OH never had problems in that area. My parents used to call him the Horizontal Champion ;-)

Fingers crossed that the Gas Engineer comes shortly YG. If not, you'll have to leave a note on your door for him or phone the hospital to say you're running late.

LG - hope your OH gets to see the eye-clinic promptly, and that they are able to sort out his problems. One of the hospitals in our Trust has a self-referral clinic if you are prepared to sit and wait. The only time I had to go was when I had that light-sensitive infection. There was a middle aged man sitting there who had just come back from holiday where he had hit his head - he was losing his peripheral vision :-(

We know what you mean about uncertainty - will/did OH go in with you? Sometimes it's better to have a 2nd pair of ears as you both focus on different things that are being said.

~~~~ to EOS, Maz, Jen, CT and Mersey
Have/try to have a good day :-D
YG Report 12 Apr 2014 09:06
Morning Nut Lodgers and everyone who drops in!! :-) :-) :-) <3 <3
WAKEY, WAKEY, TUMBLE OUT OF THOSE BEDS BEFORE I GET THE SAUCEPANS OUT :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
I have stripped the bedding, done one load of washing, with second one in, showered, blow dried hair, dusted and vac'd the lounge. Just sitting having brekkie whilst waiting for the gas engineer :-) :-)
