Teething problems!

Well, we knew we'd have a few.

I can't open/read Ann in Glos' work but have sent her a message.

Tonight, when I'm back home - I will ping round another e-mail with all the details on so you can all check you have the right addies against the right names.

Good point about real names and board names so where I have gaps those people will need to e-mail their real names around.

At some point could we perhaps ping round photos of ourselves? I always find it a bit easier chatting to people when I know what they look like ... shout me down if you're not happy with the idea.

Feedback: I'll add a bit to the blanket email tonight. Suggesting that you send round feedback by e-mail. I am planning to put all my feedback to all of you in one e-mail. So you can see what I'm saying about others as well as yourselves.

I'm also planning to cut and paste feedback received from all of you - so that I can keep that page with the piece of work (for when I've stopped crying and am prepared to make changes ...LOL)

It will all make sense after a week or two - won't it??

Certainly will Jill, and once the email problems are sorted out, we should all be able to send feedback AND our work to the group in one.

One or two are unable to open files, so I realise we dont' all have the same version of Microsoft Office or similar. We may all have to resort to pasting it into the email body rather than sending as an attachement, so we all get a chance to read each other's work.

I dont' have Joy Dean's correct email either, if she could PM it to me that would be great! It bounced back.

Just a suggestion

I have/had a secure site for Family History purposes and was able to very easily upload photos, files, word docs etc. The layout was/is wonderful.....names of members on front page...links etc. extremely easy to use and as I say...secure. I thought that perhaps joining under your own name would be ideal for your group...Your own emails etc

See everything needed at a glance, members get emailed about new content....no-one allowed in unless invited

Some of you may know of the Family History people...Family History.com...worth a try I would have thought.

You could even put a tree on there if you wanted to lol

I'm working on another one now, but it will be a while, just letting the idea grow a little.

I also want to congratulate Jill on a brilliant idea. Now that we've got most of the teething problems sorted out, got to know each other a little more, and sent some of our work around, it's fast becoming a great success.

I've read some lovely stories and poems so far, so let's keep it up. Well done everyone, and especially Jill for putting this together.
