In reality it never could have worked out well anyway, it's different to the days when parents sometimes brought up a child as their own instead of as the grandchild it was, and years later it found out that it's big sis was really it's mother.

Two weeks ago we stopped getting our "omnibus edition" on Saturday morning on BBC Canada. They'd already cut the Sunday one a while back.

I always tape the noon-hour episodes anyhow, to watch Sat/Sun mornings, because there's a good chance that sometime between 8 and 11 a.m. Saturday a Manchester United game will be on, and since both things are on digital cable, one can't be taped while the other's watched. Not that one would be allowed to tape soccer while watching soaps, anyhow. Soccer must be watched in real time ...

Anyhow, I only realized this when I'd already taped over the Wednesday episode that week because of a shortage of space on the tape for Thursday night programs (while I work evenings), figuring I'd just pick it up on Saturday, and discovered that Saturday morning on BBC Canada has now been taken over by more of BBC's low-rent reality trash. Teen Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses, what's that, some translation from the German??

You know Whirls, that's a constant question of mine.
They can all afford to go to the pub every lunch time and every evening, and the girls can all afford to buy clothing off the market as often as they need (ie whenever they're going out/party/wedding/holiday) then how come nobody can afford a washing machine??? Not even on credit????

Edit: Ooops sorry Stray, didn't see yours mentioning the pub and cafe, but yeh, how many of them go and eat breakfast at Kaff's Kaff...too many for folk who can't afford a washing machine!!!! LOL
