:( We don't get Neighbours. Some channel did carry it for a while, and I did watch some, but evidently it didn't go over well here.

Lucky thing. No.1 would have to move out -- he is a Coronation Street devotee ("Real Men Watch Coronation Street" the Tshirt), but will have nothing to do with EastEnders because he can't understand anybody. He could probably understand Australian, but at present he throws things at the television when he hears an Australian accent, because for some reason there are a whole lot of really cheesy commercials (infomercial types, and we-buy-your-old-useless-gold) with Australian spokes hacks, and he has a major hate on for them. ;)

He's like me, never knows anybody's name. He grew increasingly peeved with The Black Haired People on Corrie, but then most of them got killed off (and the Steve's ex-fiancée one finally got a less annoying hairdo, and Carla wandered off), so that was better.

Ah sorry Janey, but the Black Haired Carla has returned! lol BC

Ha, I'll warn him. The Steve's ex-fiancée one has just left to go on tour for six months (I think she's left). Now her kid, he's an annoying one, when it comes to hair. And I really do not understand how someone could find out that some other kid is really her kid, and then just let him get written out of the show again!

Yeah, that's the weird thing, how credible is it that he would have got a wife in the first place, let alone the babysitter and then another one on the side (yeah, not just one) and then his son's girlfriend (and no, I don't want to know who else!)? Not just unpleasant, but amazingly ugly! Evidently the women he runs into are very stupid ...

Secondly, I have to agree that I have never ever understood this stud thing going on re: Max, who has just GOT to be one of the ugliest men on TV, yet manages to get every type of woman (the good, the bad and the plain dog ugly) running after him. The producer type people must be getting some kind of rake off from him, or he's married to one of them, because it just doesn't ring true. In fact, it's rather like the accent thing mentioned yesterday.....the programme makers must really think/hope their viewers are dumb enough not to notice. Because as for the latest, Ms Weird n Creepy, Stacey's friend, now how unlikely is that storyline.

Ok Ok, I can hear others shouting at their computer screens "but it's just telly".
I know, but surely there's some attempt in soap-making to be fairly close to real life or they wouldn't be as popular as they are.? Well, apart from pure trash like Bold & Beautiful or Days of our Lives, where absolutely no such attempt was even thought of, hah, but that's a whole other story. LOL

We've just had that embarrassingly awful episode when the headmaster came to the house. Both Blue Hair Girl and Shirl looked like they'd stepped straight out of the Rocky Horror Show! Scary, or what!

Pity Shirl didn't do more than knee Phil so he needed crutches for just one day only.
