MY GGGRANDAD JAMES LOCK 1796
TRANSPORTED IN 1826
THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE WAS NEVER
ANSWERED

FINCH+LOCK+WEAVER+HALES+BROOKINGS+MANSFIELD+HOOK+TITCHENER and STEVEN & ISRAEL WEAVER c1735

my grandparents were finch and lock(e), suffolk... any good?

lock(e), finch, newman, facer, martin, simpson, parmenter, curtis, long, chatters, all of the uk but mainly suffolk,london and essex

Dizzi posted this a couple of years ago, but she is still on the site.

She's a bit preoccupied at the moment, but will probably get back to you when she is able. Check the thread when ever you come on to the site, to see if she has been able to reply.

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as a Mitchell.

oh dear.. i hope your friend Dizzi is ok.. i did see the post was a little older, but i also saw the title saying don't ignore old posts haha :) If it is of any interest i come from a long line of lock(e)s from suffolk, going back to around 1760, my grandad eric locke, born 1919, married my grandmother violet finch. the finches also go way back in suffolk.
