love the name!!!! snow still lying frozen here in Cardiff but no more of late - I am finally in recovery from the dreadful virus of whatever it was that I had - my house has that "just burgled" look as I have done nothing cos it's been a week today it all began - hope no one else succumbs to it

not seen fantastic Mr Fox since but have been looking our for him - think I shall leve a spot of food for him tonight and see if he turns up

I was able to resist the urge to dash out for potatoes, bread and milk!!!! I can make bread if push comes to shove and No: 1 son called in the early hours of the morning earlier this week to drop off a loaf of bread for me - on his way to work - he's a train driver working out of Bristol Temple Meads - and boy do they have odd hours!!

take care all and beware the lurgi - watch out for handles on supermarket trolleys - take hand sanitizer with you - be germ aware!!!

H gang - bitterly cold here in Cardiff - a frozen wasteland - still got the original snow all over the place and it looks like a deathtrap underfoot - local A & E at our largest hospital is pleading with people only to go there with real emergencies as they are overwhelmed with broken limbs - I have just ordered some spikes whch fit over shoes so you donlt slip over on ice - I've done it twice in the past and ended up with broken limbs so not going to do it again!!!

my friend had to sleep here overnight as she is having a new boiler installed!! who would have thought whn she order it that things would turn out like this

I self-diagnosed with that flu thing and decided it was Norovirus!!!

love to all

bleak and frozen here in Cardiff - not been out yet

my Mum had both kinds of arthritis all her life and she had the knee ops - they were excellent

cards all gone - do you have scout deliveries? - we do, so saves a lot on local stuff. no decs up - probably won't bother - didn't last year - on my own so who cares!!!

bit down really as my lovely next door neighbour died on Sunday morning - 53 yars old - ovarian cancer - absolutely gutted - she and her husband just lived for each other and the children and grandchildren - the outside world didn;t exist for them - they never bought the newspapers or knew what was going on at the end of the road, let alone the world at large

I spent time with him yesterday and he was pretty good considering - told me exactly how she died - at home - with all the family around her, how she kissed the little grandchildren goodbye - absolutely gut-wrenching stuff, but in a way I think it did him good to tell me all about it and I did manage to keep a lid on it

Think the little ones will be the saving of them all for Christmas but I think after Christmas is going to be the hardest bleakest time for all of them

sorry if I've depressed you all - that ovarian cancer - the silent killer they call it - is frightening
