Morning all, Well guess what, yeh you got it in one SNOW.
My son should be landing at our airport round about now
and will he be in for a shock, especially as he has just come
from Africa where it's about 40 there to -8. The only one happy
to see it back is Rory. Take care all and stay warm.

OMG!!! Snow - we got a shedload!! and still coming down - snowing when I looked out at 4:00am and still going - disastrous here because next door neighbour's funeral this morning and they brought her home during the week - old fashioned custom - the crematorium is on the side of the mountain and the post funeral refreshments are in a hotel on the top of the mountain!! have no idea what on earth will happen

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 17 Dec 2010 09:00

son just rang to say the mountain road is closed from the crematorium exit right up over the top and down into Caerphilly - the hotel is in that patch!!!
just told neighbour to contact crem or funeral home, cos poor devil is out there clearing the snow ready for the hearse and everything

have a feeling this funeral won't be happening today

Morning Barbra, son made it home but had to
hire a car as the trains were cancelled, he lives
in Elgin and were a few accidents on his way home.
Was out to get bloods done this morning and OH his
yearly M.O.T. on our local news they were
saying that the gritters and snowploughs had been out since
4am, out where I don't know cause it wasn't on the bus route
we were on very scary.
Hi Marion hope you are coping in your neck of the woods.
Ann I'm sorry to hear your news, stressful enough without
other complications.
Take care all and stay warm.

GoldenGirl1

GoldenGirl1 Report 17 Dec 2010 11:27

Haven't heard anything further on A90 since that announcement,
best to look into weather site for help there.

Just back from the funeral - thank goodness it went ahead - very hairy journey though - we have now had over a foot of snow and it's still coming down - although the mountain road was closed the hotel manager arranged to ferry people to the hotel but I'm proud to say that my little Micra made the journey - the only one that did!!!

MarionfromScotland

MarionfromScotland Report 17 Dec 2010 16:11
