Afternoon ladies, hope you are all keeping well. The weather here yesterday and today is beautiful a lovely autumn day clear blue sky, sunshine but a chill in the air just how I like it. Have the builders in at the moment re-plastering the dinning room, changing the fireplace to make it more open and putting in an oak lintel over the fire then installing a log burner on Wednesday when everything should be dry, what a mess I cannot believe where the dust has got there is a thick coat everywhere even the bathroom where the door was shut has a film on everything, off now to finish cleaning it all up. Really do need to get some more Christmas cards made, but with the builders all my crafting bits have been packed away till they have finished. Trying to get all my birthday cards till after Christmas made as well, have so many to do.
Enjoy what is left of the weekend

Hi all,
First of all Jill, congratulations on the sale of your house etc.
We have just come back from a mid-week vakantie in the south of the Netherlands. The weather was not too bad, but not enough sun for me.
I had a nice group of district nurses looking after me every day.My daughter came to us with her partner last wednesday and he drove us to Venlo hospital where Johan's sister has spent the last few months. She will be 90 next year and was pleased to see us.
We have still not finished all the unpacking etc. here so hope that we now have the energy to go further.
Love and best wishes, Sylvia xxx

Ann, a very young French couple buying which is unusual for this type and size of property, they are only 24.
All animals have been re homed apart from our very old cockerel, think he might have to meet his maker as don't want him going in someone's slow cooker.
We have found a lovely four bed bungalow with very large gardens in a very quiet spot on the edge of a small village. Its got lots of large rooms and is pristine but I will change kitchen even though its new as not to my taste. Has a pretty summer house and scope to add a sun room on plus anything else we might decide on.
Will be very different from here but this will be too big and too rural in another few years plus will be good to understand people
:-)

Congratulations on selling so quickly Jill. Is this a French or English couple buying? You are going to be busy now I can see so we shan't hear much from you until after you move. Are the lambs going with the house?

Hi to you all, house sold and we have just spent time in the Island and have now bought a house!! We didnt think things would be moving but four weeks ago, a young couple came and made us an offer so its been a frantic few weeks.
We will be moving end of Dec/Jan so its all go as we have the main house plus the cottage to sort out and so much stuff to go as our gite is fitted with everything, bedding, plates, the lot.
Luckily new home is big so it will take all my furniture and I have also ear marked a room for crafting big enough if I carry on teaching.
I will be up to date with all card swaps plus Christmas but some for Dec and Jan will be sent early but will have to hold back on ATC swaps until Feb as really do not think I will have time.
I am keeping my classes going until the end of next month but have already started to pack my personal craft away, need a separate removals :-D
Hope everyone is keeping well

xx Jill

Hi all,
Well this worked and now I can access the site again.
I am going away on Monday for a mid-week holiday in Center Parcs in the south of the Netherlands. I do hope this beautiful weather continues. A real Indian summer it is.
A volunteer worker here has been helping Johan hang up some shelves. This morning Johan had to wake me up at 10.00 am. I have been feeling so tired, getting up at 4.00 am every day. I used to go to bed around 2.00 am and wake up at 4.00 so too little sleep.
Let's hope I'll pick up from here - and then I have had a B12 injection. I still keep dropping my tools when I am working, from a sewing needle to a pair of scissors.
but this is Carpale tunnel syndrome, which I have had for years.
I hope Johan keeps fit as I would like to pop into Germany from our holiday address.
Enjoy the sunshine, it will be Xmas soon
love Sylvia xxx

Jo,
Ideas for your ATC cards -Sadness - happiness.
I think my neighbour of 96 died yesterday. There was an ambulance here last night and everything is very quiet today. Mind you it has always been quiet and I never died pass the day with him but his wife came in once. Time will tell!
It has been raining on and off all day, and the showers very heavy, but there was sunshine and rainbows too.
School holidays finished here so shops are getting back to normal.
See you soon

Evening ladies, hope you are all keeping well at the moment. Just posting a quick message as my computer is playing up!!

Weather here is awful this evening, torrential rain, thunder storms and hail, what more can we ask, well apart from the two power cuts we have had, both lasting about two hours, grandchildren thought it was great to have candles and a torch to see their way around they are lucky they never get power cuts, we seem to have lots of them.

Have not done any crafting this week, just too busy with other things, really need to get started on my Christmas cards and finish my ATC's.

Enjoy whats left of your weekend.

Jill you certainly are getting well prepared, I have only made a couple so far ready for Christmas.

Issy would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for ATC themes for the next few months, Christine has come up with quite a few suggestions!

Hello Ladies from an almost sunny and warm Maine et Loire.

Sylvia, many thanks for your lovely surprise card, very apt for me xxxxx
The postie also delivered my ATCs, well done to you all as all so different.
We are waiting on a second viewing tonight but not getting our hopes up as were let done a few weeks back by a couple that wanted it then nothing :( now would be the ideal time for us as dogs are now into their 6th month after blood tests and can travel from next month.
Been busy making as many Christmas cards as I can so I will be all up to date if we move or sell before christmas.

Hope you are all keeping well

xx Jill

Morning, just watching Barbara Grey on C&C now as you all know I don't stamp BUT I love watching her demonstrations she is soooooo good such talent. Really enjoyed her masterclass yesterday as well.

Sylvia lovely to 'see' you and that things are going well for you both at the moment. Good that your daughter is going with Johan for the reunion as the numbers get less and less it will be even more emotional. Lovely to hear that you are still selling your cards and that there is a craft group you can join.

Issy said ATC's are in the post, delayed as she was waiting for Heathers.

Busy couple of days, met up with Lizz Thursday evening great to meet up again!!, went to see Dolly Parton on Friday evening, birthday treat from daughter and it was a fabulous show and yesterday afternoon went to see Little Shop of Horrors at the out door theatre, weather was good and not too windy.

Just trying to decide what birthday card to make for granddaughter, all the grandchildren expect something better than last year and I am fast running out of ideas. Grandson when he was staying with me a couple of weeks ago saw a card demonstration from flower soft for Christmas cards using clear domes and their new Christmas cd, and informed me that thats the card he would like for christmas - so now need to find something similar in the craft shops really did not want to buy such a large kit & cd.

The weather is not as good as yesterday in fact it has been raining all morning still the garden needs it the lawn was still quite brown, afraid I am not in to watering the lawn!

Off now to do some crafting....
