Ann, I think the problem is that parents do not like the children out playing so organised activities seem to be the next best thing. They have friends round to play after school when they have nothing else on!

Sylvia lovely to see you back on line again and pleased to hear that the move went OK. Unpacking always takes time but I am sure you will get there especially once your kitchen is finished. Hope you like your new doctor. And wireless is so much faster than cable and means you could get a lap top and use it wherever in the place.

Hi all,
Well we've had no internet for a few days so couldn't contact you . We had a pc expert here today and are now going to buy a new pc!
That's the way the money goes!!
I have no help in the house at the moment and still don't have the units in my kitchen. I've just heard that they are coming tomorrow so will hopefully be able to cook next week again.
I hope next week to be able to find my card making equipment. It seems years since I last made a card.

Evening ladies hope you are all keeping well I am still house/animal sitting at daughters house. The weather has been lovely here which has meant lots of watering raised beds and pots and then there is the greenhouse......

Sylvia, a new PC, now that sounds fun, you will probably find it much faster than your old one. I must admit I like my laptop, means like now I have bought it with me! I would image you will be very pleased when you have your new kitchen and also when you have got a new home help.

Well the new cupboards came today so now up to Henk to come and build them in. Hopefully the new computer wil come tomorrow.
My youngest daughter wanted to come on Wednesday but have told her to come a week later to help fill the cupboaards.
I have had a lot of pain again with my bladder so they fitted a new catheter this afternoon. The nurse asked if I objected to a studdent watching. I said no and in fact there were 4 students - the bedroom was rather crowded. Am glad they were all girls though.
I've now found my hobby scissors and today Johan found my hobby lamp so will be able to get down to card making again.

Sylvia hope your new computer arrived safely and you are now up and running and that your cupboards are being put up, will be good for you to put all your kitchen things away and get cooking again.
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your bladder again hope this time they have sorted it for you. Nice to hear that you are getting back to card making.

Keep looking at all the christmas goodies that are appearing, but have seen nothing that jumps out to me I know it is only July, but things seem to come out earlier and earlier.

Jo I think I've posted this months atc's, sorry heads a bit fuzzled at the moment, I've been poorly and had my sister rushed into hospital last week too :( so I've either missed things or forgot (not on purpose)..... think I'm up to date with the groups cards though, apologies to anyone who receives late.

I'm thinking of christmas cards too, and will be making a start end of August, only very simple cuttlebuged ones with a bit of sparkle, so many to do with little time :-D

Our little granddaughter was due yesterday (24th) but has decided not to make an appearance yet, her Daddy says she will prob arrive when we go on holiday (much needed) next week, we shall see.

Heather sorry to hear that things are not going well for you at the moment, hope you are beginning to feel a little better ready for your holiday and that your sister is improving. I bet you cannot wait for the new arrival, as you say it is bound to arrive when you are on holiday and you wont be able to have your cuddles for a while!!

Not sure what type of cards to make this year, made a lot of cuttlebug ones last year, but cannot remember what type I sent to who!!!!!! Need to start keeping a check I think.

The heart was a spellbinders shape (will get info off pkt), cut out off mirri card (very good price from Joanna Sheen, with free p&p) & embossed with the cuttlebug paisley folder, really enjoyed doing them.

My sister is on the mend thank you, Hiapoxic Seizures aren't nice, she has just got to take things a little easier.
I will let you all know when new arrival is here :) think I'll be on the first train back from Devon if she decides to come next week ;-)

Now I see, thought the heart looked textured wondered if it was using some special card, fabulous idea to texture mirri board have not tried it yet will have to have a go. Do not have any of the spellbinders yet they are on my 'to buy' list when I save up some money. Thanks for letting me know.
Is there anything special your sister has to do, or is it just a case of resting and hope that she does not have another attack. You never know baby might just arrive before you leave so that you can have lots of cuddles before you go.
Me I'm just off to a friends funeral and then next week have to take SIL to 2 funerals.

My sister has to take it easy, she is already on steroids and numerous other medication for breathing problems, the nebulisers help her a lot, so the docs will now hopefully issue her with some for home.... so worrying at the time, but she is getting better x

Jo I love embossing with my cuttlebug, the mirri card really does 'pop' out when embossed.
