Morning Ladies well I hope your weather is better than ours!!

Just to let you know I have heard from Silvia and she is still having difficulties with GR, she cannot access the site at the moment but she is trying to sort it out with them, they are both keeping well which is great.

Take care and have a good week

Afternoon ladies. Well what horrible weather for June!!!!! :-S :-S

Our village was hit by a mini tornado this morning and there is so much damage, at least it missed our house. People will get quite a shock when they come home from work.

Take care everyone.

Glad your house was unscathed Jo. Our weather is getting more unpredictable by the week isn't it? Been nice here all afternoon but rained this morning. Some people have had it really bad though and I see the Lake District are still getting it, glad we were only up there a week. :-)

Hi girls,
I cannot believe it I'm back again.
I heard today from GR,that they have received my cheque so am now permitted to use the site again. Hurrah.
They sent me a reply per e-mail and must have touched a wrong button somewhere as I have 243 replies. Therefore a repeat key must have been touched - another problem.
Our weather is much the same as yours, lots of wind, thunder etc.
See you another time. Love Syl xxx :-)

Sylvia, good to see you back with us. Well done and hope that you are both keeping well. Our weather is atrocious at the moment, so much wind and rain and not much sun. :-)

sylvia lovely to see you back here thought you were never going to make it!

Weather here still bad although the sun is shining it is only 16° with big black clouds. Lets hope the sun wins through we could do with drying out a bit.

Hi all,
Yes, it is indeed good to be back. Inbetween times we have had computer trouble as well, but I was able to solve this one.
Our weather is just about the same as yours and it remains too cold for me.
We are having to put up with holiday helps in our health service. Today I had a young meisje and she didn't know how to set the brake on my shower chair and I didn't dare get on it in case it wheeled me off. What a problem! It costs me a lot of time explaining to them where everything is. They are all a lovely lot otherwise I would get cross.
Tomorrow I have to go to the eye specialist (via diabetes group). We have our eyes checked once a year. I want a new paitr of glasses anyway - double focus.
On Thursday evening Johan and I are going to a talk on the sickness apneu being held at our hospital. This apneu is why I have to use a mask to sleep.in.
Friday I have an appointment with our doctor and in the afternoon an appointment with the specialist who will take my last 8 teeth out and fit me with a pair of false teeth - what a thought!
This is the way I spend my time!
Now, see you all tomorrow.
Love, Sylvia xxx

Sylvia sounds like you are very busy moving from one doctor and clinic to another one. Still as long as they sort you out and keep you going going that is all that matters.
Weather here still awful as well Sylvia, sky this evening is a very funny colour and very dark with heavy rain yet again.

Hi all,
Weather still good, but forecast rain, rain, rain. Well, it will save me from having to water the plants outside I suppose!
So I have to have two eye operations. Yes, I have star in bot h eyes. Why do I have to have everything?
My youngest daughter's birthday tomorrow - she will be 52. She won't be home so will visit her another time.
I have asked my ex son in law to come and help me for an hour with the garden but it has been so warm that he has put off the visit.
Must write a couple of letters now. Have a nice evening.
Sylvia xxx :-)

Sylvia sorry to hear that you need surgery on both eyes, will they do them both at the same time or will you have one done first. Still if it improves what you can see it will be great.

The weather here is raining again, and Fridays downpour managed to get the village on the news on the TV again as we were flooded and the roads blocked in and out of the village. It was atrocious but not many houses were flooded just the roads and fields. We have an underground river under our house, we used to have a well in the garden that the previous people used to pump the water to use for washing. We had it capped and the dining room extension built over it. Just hope the water level does not rise too much or we could be flooded!

Jo,
I think they will do one of my eyes at a time. I have to have drops in my eyes for a few weeks before - they will come at home for this and when the operation is over I need drops in my eyes again. I have been told it is a simple operation. They will replace the lens.
I wanted a new pair of glasses and will be cheaper off because when my op is over I won't need glasses during the day, just for reading. No more expensive double focus glasses!
What a weather we are having - torrential rain, then sun then more rain. How is your house Jo? I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you will keep dry feet.
Now it is the weather to make a batch of birthday/Xmas cards.
Love from Sylvia xxx
;-)

Morning. It is lovely here today at the moment sun is shining with a little breeze makes a lovely change, even managed to get out and mow the lawns - but the clouds are now forming so could rain again this afternoon just for a change!!

Sylvia I am struggling to keep up with my birthday cards, have not even thought about Christmas cards yet, but will be very shortly when I have my birthday ones up to date don't really want to leave them till the last minute.

Have had 2 of the grandchildren plus their dog staying for a week, their Dad won a holiday through his work, (he seems to do every year!!) it is a working holiday for them and an exhausting time for me but they go home tomorrow so I will be able to catch up on my housework and everything else I have missed doing.

Take care
Love Joxx

Hi girls, just a little catch up from me. Apologies for not being around much, very busy time for us at the moment, hope everyone is keeping well xx
We became grandparents again, Bella-Rose is one month old today and very gorgeous she is too, masses of beautiful dark hair & blue eyes :) Adorable xx
Our youngest son Jack, has just finished his level one in Engineering and will be starting an apprenticeship in Sept with a local engineering firm, he is so looking forward to it, really pleased he's managed to get a placement.., He is currently on a leadership course in Farnborough, put forward through the Cadets, away from us for a week, back a week and the Annual camp for two.... phew loads of washing to do, so hoping the weather gets better :-S

Thank you Jo, for updates via email, glad my cards are getting through, we did have a problem with things not arriving for a while, so it gives me peace of mind to know they are received.

Speak soon, take care everyone xx

Hello Heather, how lovely to see you on here. Well done to your son, and congratulations on the birth of Bella-Rose, what a pretty name.

Jo, Hope you have recovered from having the grandchildren, lovely to have them and lovely to give them back :-D

I realised today that I missed Roz's birthday, or did she leave us? Not sure, however I have sent a late card just in case.

Sylvia, you will be pleased not to have to wear glasses during the day, hope all goes well with your operations. I have a few Christmas cards left from last year but may start to make some soon as I am well up with my birthday cards, just have my OH's wedding anniversary card to make now for the end of August.

Ann, Ros is still in the group will let her know the card is on its way.

Heather congratulations on your great news. A lovely new granddaughter with a very pretty name, lots of kisses and cuddles I should imagine!!. Jack is very lucky with the apprenticeship but still he has worked hard to get there and it is so nice to see him get the reward he deserves, you must be so proud of him.
