Good morning to you all from a very grey Maine et Loire. Still waiting for the rest of the lambs to come, think the mums would be happy to shift the extra weight :)
Ann, can you please pm me you blog, and I must go and update mine but let it drift due to not being able to get my camera working.
Been having a session on Christmas cards as bought a lovely set of stamps from Viva and want to get a head start this year :)
If I can get some stamps sent for a sae I might see if I can join in with the ATCs as not done any for ages, is it still 6? and by what date to they have to be with Isabel?

Hallo girls,
Yes, it's me safe and sound out of hospital. What was supposed to be a week in hospital turned out to be 2 weeks. I have a chronic bladder infection and now a strong tablet for the infection. I have had this bladder infection 2 years now. I think every inch of my body has been scanned, photographed etc. this time.
I am a little better due to the fact that one of the nurses decided herself to help me get rid of the infection. After cathetering me she rinsed and pressed on my bladder so that a lot of infection passed away and she repeated that the following day. I told the doctor and everybody about this girl because she has done miracles for me which the gynaecologist and urologist didn't do.
I have to return to hospital for control in 4 weeks time but am feeling a bit better, just lost 23 kilos so must move all buttons etc. on my pantalons.
Johan coped very well - he is almost 87 - visiting me every day and doing the shopping and cooking for himself. When I came home there were flowers and coffee with cream cake.
Like you Ann, haven't used my Cuttlebug much yet.
Thank you everybody for your best wishes etc. have missed you all.

Sylvia what a lovely surprise to see you safe and out of hospital and back posting on here, we have certainly missed you. Great to hear that they are finally sorting out your bladder infection, lets hope it really works this time for you. The nurse that took care of you sounds lovely and really helped sorting it all out for you.

Johan is fantastic for his age and to have flowers and cake waiting for you when you got home, he is such a gem
Make sure you rest and take care of yourself now

Jill & Heather send me your blog addy seem to have misplaced them.

Hallo girls,
So it is Saturday again and a beautiful sunny day albeit very cold with a white frost at nights - brrh!
I went out on myu scooter yesterday but was quite cold. It was nice to do my own shopping.
This afternoon my ex son in law with his wife came for coffee. It was nice to see them again.
Please can somebody explain what a blog is - in simple words.
Tomorrow must weigh myself again and hopefully no weight loss. Have lost to date 26 kilos and very noticeable round the waist - trousers keep falling down.
Have a nice Sunday

Sylvia a blog is like a very small web site. Mine is one where you can see cards and scrap book pages displayed by several people on Genes. If you want the web address I can let you have it on a PM.

Morning ladies hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Babs, is going away for her birthday on 28th March so if you want her to take your card with her you will need to post early.

Off now to take my daughters dogs and hamsters back home as they are back from their skiing holiday in France. At least the oldest hamster that is now 2½ survived always worry in case it dies whilst I am looking after it.

Trying to think how I can decorate my granddaughters first birthday cake which I have been asked to make, ideas are a bit thin on the ground at the moment. Still have a couple of weeks to think of something.

Sun is shining here today and it even feels lovely and warm, could spring really be on its way????

Sylvia there were lots of good wishes from the girls that post on FTF for you during your stay in hospital, they were from Christine, Babs, Issy & Lizz

The thread has gone quiet so I thought I would nudge it up. Hope you are all well and the reason nobody is posting is that you are all too busy making cards.

I went to a great craft fair yesterday, spent quite a bit of money on small purchases on several stalls. Lots of toppers and decoupage sheets, DS tape, glittery acetate and peel offs. Soon mounts up doesn't it? Saved some of my cash to spend in the craft shop in Kendal when we are up there.

Afternoon Ladies very sunny here today, lets hope the threatened rain misses us!
Trying to get some cards finished as Babs is going away for her birthday this year, so if you are sending her a card will need to arrive with her before 27th March.
Have the grandchildren for the weekend and daughter and partner coming for lunch tomorrow as well so need to do some shopping. Still haven't come up with an idea for granddaughters first birthday cake or card cannot get my head around the fact that she is one year old!!

Have a lovely weekend all of you

Good evening to you all and hope you are all keeping well. We are still waiting on lambs but had a bad lambing a week ago as triplets all tangled up inside then mum rejected one and it just gave up and died.
Kelly is coming over with Rémi in two weeks so hoping to get the rest of lambing out of the way.
Been making some double sided boxes with paper concertina flowers and all the ladies in class love them, check out craft barn and go into their blog for easy instructions :)

Jill the sheep are definitely taking their time, obviously waiting for the warmer weather!! The concertina flowers bring back some memories, used to make them when I was at school, had forgot all about it till I looked at them on Craft Barn. The are so simple yet so effective on cards and boxes, seems like the exploding boxes are coming back into fashion, have seen quite a look around recently.

Weather nice here today at least no fog which is good, driving down the motorway on Tuesday in thick fog was no fun at all!! Two bad crashes on the 50 mile journey, both resulted in loss of life, roads closed and mega delays, added an hour onto my short journey, one before I even reached the motorway and it was only 7am. Dread to think what the traffic would be like at the rush hour as the roads were closed for moist of the day. Why don't drivers slow down and take more care when the fog is bad, surprising how many cars were driving well in excess of the speed limit on the motorway even though you couldn't see properly makes me so cross!!!!!!! Enough complaining from me.
Still haven't made granddaughters first birthday card.....

Have a good day

Here I am again. I went to the urologist last Tuesday and after examining me said he would have to fit a catheter He cleaned my bladder and then rinsed it. The pain was undescribable. I cannot understand why I couldn't have taken some paracetamol tablets for the pain beforehand. I did ask for some tablets afterwards. He was a real butcher! I have to have this catheter in for 4 weeks and then he will fit another one. I have been warned - this time I will take some tablets before I see him!
I cannot understand why they took 2 years before fitting this catheter. I had seen several gynaecologists and urologists as well as doctors and they kept giving me anti-bacterial cures which didn't help.
Anyway I am getting used to the thing strapped to my leg. No more skirts or dresses for me, just trousers. I am still losing weight, which I hope will stop soon. It's nice getting into trousers which were too tight for me, but it's just not me looking skinny.
Johan and I had our 55 wedding anniversary on Thursday but we spent it quietly with only our youngest daughter coming in the evening with a lovely bunch of pink and white flowers. Johan bought me two large plant pots with all the ingredients for planting tomatoes and cucumbers for on the balcony. Johan will be 87 next Tuesday so will have more friends and family coming.
I hope to get down to making some more cards tomorrow and forget all doctors and hospitals.
The temperature was 15 degrees today so the sun was really warm. We have two blue tits nesting in our nesting box. It's lovely to see them flying to and fro with bits for their nest.
Have a lovely weekend.
Love Sylvia xxx

Sylvia it makes me so cross when 'we' see specialists that should be good at their job but instead treat us so badly. As you have had the procedure before you know what it should be like!! Hopefully the catheter will ease your problems.
Congratulations on your 55th wedding anniversary such a long time, thought I was dong well at 40 years and also say Happy Birthday to Johan from me I would never have thought thats how old he was, he looks so fit and active.
The blue tits are nesting in my boxes already as you say it is lovely to watch them going back and forth to the boxes have a Jenny Wren nesting as well, love it when the little ones fledge and start hunting for food in the pots on my patio.

Off now to make granddaughters birthday card, no ideas yet, but I am sure it will come once I start.

Enjoy whats left of the weekend.
