Jude - I am deeply saddened to know that Jean has passed away. What a brave and sweet lady she was. As you say, she loved the simple things in life, her garden, her flowers, and her cats.
You and Vic have been such good caring friends to her and Phil, making her life easier where you could. Bless you both for that.
Now Jean is at peace, the suffering over. <3 <3 <3

I have only just logged on and seen the sad news about Jean. I am so sorry to hear this. Please will you give my sincere condolences to Phil when you see him Jude.
You were a very good friend to them and did all you could to help them.

With heart failure it was only a matter of time as she would have known.

l had a phone call from Phil 10 mins ago to say

Very very sadly Jean passed away at 5.30 this morning.
She can rest in peace now, out of pain out of worry.
What a fighter, such a lovely, lovely lady.
Loved the simple things in life.
l loved every minute that l was with her apart from seeing her so ill.
l knew this was about to happen after seeing her on Thursday, such a change in her.
RIP lovely lady <3 <3 <3 <3

Thank you all for your comments re Roy ........................ it seems it was a very quiet, peaceful death, which is all that one could ask for.


Sandie .................. I wasn't in a depression, thank heavens .................. just not feeling like talking because of Roy.

We expected it, maybe not quite so soon, but certainly within the next week or so ........... but he was apparently quite chipper and eating on Wednesday, so his death came as a bit of a shock.


Bethan ........ so glad that your bf got the job! That must make a real boost to his confidence!


Sandie ................ I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your lad.

You must have brung him up right ................. not wanting to give up a job until he has another one. Too many don't think of that! xxxx

Hello everyone. I'm not usually up at this time but I have just sent an e mail to my AM. Today I took my mother who is eighty-eight years old next month to have her hearing aids repaired at a well-known hospital not a million miles from Abergavenny. The audiologist repaired them but said my mother needed a full hearing assessment and the earliest appointment they had was for two years' time. What an appalling and unacceptable state of affairs. She lives alone and is also waiting for a cataract operation and, because she cannot hear the television, relies on sub-titles. She now finds it increasingly difficult to see these and was hoping that, if her hearing was sorted out, she would at least be able to enjoy the television even if she couldn't see it clearly. I really could have wept for her. I'm sure I can hear Aneurin Bevan spinning in his grave.

Beth's bf interview was on Mon..Brill he got it :-D

..Son's is on Wednesday., he is not happy at all where he is now..but it is a good job and he is staying put until he gets another , like it or not.!
Cos I aint keeping him!
If he quits he won't get any benefits.,he will have to use his savings..must have enough to survive,cos hubby choose for him save rather than pay Board and Lodge...
Know he has ISAs and money my dad left him..I don't nosey,
Although I have a file for him ..his choice cos he's useless, with his payslips and P60s,even his cheque book never used !( he uses plastic)

Glad that sis counselling seems to be making an improvement.
It works very well for some to speak to someone outside the family , it didn't for me when dad died....but we are all different.
Sure it that it takes some pressure from you to see an improvement :-)

We've young Rosco here quite abit lately, but he cried for his dad all yesterday afternoon and most of the evening:(( he was fine during the night, but he won't eat his food, only Madocs. This morning l chatted to his owner and asked if he had eaten..NOPE, l told him about eating Madocs....l presume he's eaten properly now!?

SUE...how are you you old whatsit, good to see that you are up and about. Enjoy the money, as you say you could dye your hair, but then you could spend it on something sensible too...lol

Sister....well she has been alot happier today and a few people have noticed it, also she did'nt need any prompting this evening as to where she has been today and where she is going tomorrow....fingers crossed the counselling has helped!!!! its made such a difference to actually have a conversation with her:))

Phil has'nt phoned back, so will phone him in the morning. l chatted with him earlier and he said that jean had eaten some breakfast and some fruit, also that she was very aware of him falling asleep and got upset and annoyed with him and told him to go home for sleep....so that is a great improvement, yesterday she would'nt have been able to say that. Positive thoughts please keep them coming!!

we had bad news last night .............



Our very close friend, daughter's godfather, died about 9 pm, quietly and very peacefully.

He spent one night in Emergency, 4 nights in a 4 bed ward with 3 other old men, and 2 days in palliative care ........ the last being excellent, according to his wife. But he then went down hill very quickly.

RIP Roy, xxxx

I have fab news my bf on got a job :-D :-D :-D It was from the interview last Monday !! He starts next Wednesday , we are so happy :-D :-D :-D

Been a day of smile as started off by going to meet my friends baby he is such a cutie :-)
Got swans match tomorrow I being a nice gf and taking bf dad as he is huge Man city fan just have to warn him not to cheer if man city score lol
Neighbours from hell mainly screaming at kids today but praying weekend nothing kicks off !
