First few chapters appear interesting.

The edition of the book I have was published in 1885 by MacMillan & Co., London & consisting of 850 packed pages.

Period covered : 449 (The English land in Britain) - 1874 (2nd Ministry of Disraeli).

I did a book review on 2 books by the same author, saying how I had enjoyed the books so much on another site and was looking forward to the third one being released ....

Low and behold I have just received contact from the author herself thanking me for my comments, and a lovley message to go with it plus telling me how far she is with the the third book.......

Hold Tight by Harlan Coben Tia and Dr Mike Baye son Adam mixed up with prescription drug selling. excellent

Promises promises by Erica James Ella Special painter breaks with Lawrence, Ethan married to Francine, Maggie cleaner married to Dave. very good

Hostile witness by Rebecca Forster. Josie Bates attorney defends Hannah who is accused of killing her step grandfather judge in a house fire. very good

The Paradise waltz by Jessica Stirling. Christine & Mother live with the Brigadeer in Scotland, Beattie, Charley and Les from Liverpool. Brig dies, wife claims inheritance. Is she his wife though? OK

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel by Deborah Moggach A residential home (hotel) for seniors opens in India, stories of the inmates. entertaining

Ryans return set America by Snake River. Ryan estranged from Father and brother returns. Karla and Angel her daughter. good read

Love & Devotion Erica James Harriet promises to look after Felicity's children, Carrie & Joel if anything happens to her. F killed in accident, H brings up children, meets Will. Childhood friends Dominic & Miles. very good

Mollie's Millions Victoria Connelly Mollie wins the lottery and travels around britain giving some of it away entertaining

Betrayal by Paul Carson thriller, doctor for HMP in Ireland. Very good

Falling for you Julie Ortolon first of Pearl Island trilogy set Galveston, Rory, Allie and Adrian buy an old house on Pearl Island for a B&B.

Mia's Scandal by Michelle Reid Romance M&B type Mia illigitimate daughter of Oscar Balfour put in the charge of Nikos Theakis. OK

I noticed someone reading Tess Gerritsons books - I started reading one on holiday in Mexico - frightened the tripe out of me and couldn't carry on - ghoulish!!!

Have just started "Fifty shades of Grey" - bought the trilogy - next one is Fifty shades darker" and then "Fifty Shades freed" It's had great reviews everywhere, but I'm thinking now I'm part way through that I'm not liking it

Grey is a person and apparently it's pretty racey - which is of course why I got it!!! Seems it's all about sex and bondage!!! Well that's not my cup of tea - well not the bondage bit anyway - will see how it goes

Have just finished Bill Bryson' "The home" - brilliant, and also his book "Shakespeare" another great one - have read all his books - he's a brilliant writer

Have just downloaded Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel, anyone
read any of her stuff.
Was going to download the sequel Bringing Up The
Bodies by her but will wait till it comes down in price.
These books are part fact/fiction about Cromwell,
and the tudors. Bringing up the Bodies is about Anne
Boleyn's last days.
A writer much like P Gregory I think. :-)

Murder Mystery...dont usually read this type of book but read reviews so thought id give it ago.....and easy read I was intrigued from the first page........

well I'm getting into "Fifty Shades of Grey" and wow, it's filthy!!! and there's two more books after this one!! I see the three of them are 1, 2 and 3 in the paperback best sellers list today!!!

I forgot all about my toe when I got to the juicy bits last night - canlt wait for bed tonight - what next I wonder! I have so led a sheltered life!! the things I've missed out on - enough to make you weep!!!
