Zack
Howdy all, Thank you SIR Tones for getting us all back again as I am sick of looking at the ERROR sign .
I have had withdrawal sympton's for the past week"s month's while Genes said they were sorting it out.
Thank you getting it sorted

It is so nice to see some new and some old names.

Just watch that Huia bird she is a slippery one. Hi Huia lovely to see you on this thread.
It is freezing here in Bathurst about -5 this morning very heavy frost and expecting another one to-morrow.

Anyone watch the Game between Qld. & NSW on Wednesday night, Ripper Game, The Maroon's never looked like losing, also the game of Womens Soccer , I do hope we can beat the Swedish team.

I will be sitting up to-night to watch the "Tour de France" to cheer all the Aussie guy's on. I can sleep in to-morrow. yeh! ;-)

I have started on the big job of writing up the Hayward tree to take to the Reunion on the 1 st. and 2 nd. of October :-S
It is going to take some time I seems to be constantly using the eraser.

I am hoping to only have to do one draft , then put it onto some really nice paper hopefully with a large tree etched or lightly painted on the background. :-)

I will catch you all later must do a little bit more on the " Tree "
Bye for Now
<3 Marie ;-)

Hello all. I am off out today, so will miss most of the chat. I am going down to Cambridge, south of Hamilton, for a meeting. It will probably take me about 3 hours to get there. I like to take a break from driving occasionally.

I might see you all tonight.

Huia.

oh, it took me so long to get on here, ended up asking on the GR f/b site was it this or me.

Have had a lovely week for gardening, our yard is sheltered from that nasty westerly wind.Its been suny and warm until about 3.30 4 when the OH has been cranking the fire.

Have been doing a bit too much winter cooking too. Tonight's treat was bread and butter pudding - yummy, although I know indigestion will kick in at some stage from the egg. Small price to pay
:-)
I don't know how far you have to drive Huia, but I'm a bit the same. Need to stop at my favourite cake shop, cup of tea, and then ultimately the pee.

Hi Emma and Barbara, I am a bit sporadic on here. I kinda think that sue lives quite close to me, but have never really found out. IU should have a little look on that thread too. Is the same susan # that posted on here ? hello.

Your reunion is coming fast Marie.

Good morning Yvette,Tony and all.

Weather here in Aberdeen, well the usual rain but we
are used to this.
Lovely views and lush green all around.
Rory (picture) going mental as a Sea Gull has landed
in his garden, don't know who he dislikes most, cats or
sea gulls.
Have a lovely week-end all where ever you may be.

Good evening and good morning whichever applys.. :-)

9:30 pm Saturday night on the east Coast of Oz.......and of course Football ( AFL - Australia rules ) is in full swing, being our winter.

Nice to see peeps dropping in for a chat :-)

Just finishing a nice plate of Spag Bolg ( home made of course ) and about to go for seconds... :-D

Mary. Still a month away till we fly off to our yearly trip to Thailand ( Phuket ) but looking forward to my Red,Green,Yellow Thai curries...Yumm!!
Three of my daughters and two grandies fly with us this year, and in total there are 16 of us altogether, so plenty of chatting will be going on in the plane to break the 8 hr flight....lol

Emma. My OH first hubbie was born in Aberdeen. Came to Oz as a young lad in the 60s with his family. But unfortunatley, all marriages are not made in heaven, and our laws state one woman to each man,and visa versa, and as he wasnt prepared to live under those rules............she took away his front door key....;-)

Wishing all a great weekend

Tony :-) ( Back to the football )... :-D

Yvette, while I took my time to drive down to Cambridge, on the return journey I didnt stop except where I had to for lights and stop signs etc. It took me 2 hours altogether coming back. I cant remember what the actual distance was. I would have to go downstairs to look at the log in the car.

Found you :)

Nice to see a few new faces . . . :)

I haven't got much "in-the-sun-out-of-the-wind" space Yvette . . .
One little space big enough fo my chair so I can sit have a cuppa :)
and occasionally I will give it up for TLR :)

Lots of "stuff" keeping me busy, not the least is having TLR on crutches - not able to put foot on floor for 6 weeks . . .He doesn't do crutches very well . . . and gets most frustrated at not being able to do lots of little simple things like carry his cuppa :-D

"The Maid" will required pay back BIG TIME :-D

Now the maid is off to take the spare glassess to the office . . seems we have had an accident . . . AHHHMEN . . :-D

Have a great day all

Well ,it's nice to see so many old faces returning once they find the new thread,and couple i have never heard from before ,so good morning to all :-).No comment on the football being from Newcastle over the pond and us without a decent team of any sort of football.
We have either the Magpies ,or the Falcons both ruddy hopeless ,our only choice of decent sport is cricket [Durham] or Blyth Spartons for football .
Sounds as though Tones is about to charter a whole aircraft for his party flight to Indonesia ,lol,maybe he has in mind a mixed team of players to take on the natives ,could be an interesting thought ,eh?.
Those curries sound great ,just the job and it gives me our dinner today a nice green Malaysian Curry with pilau rice and naan bread,yum
For a change ,a nice warm morning ,so i will go out to the greenhouse and water my tomato's and peppers before going out to pick up the supplies for the week.
Have a great week all .and take care ,Fred is watching the situation over the pond as regards the weather and climate change,and is a tad worried for you all.
catch you later. :-)

Evening from a cold Melbourne city.

Morning to Fred,Barbra,Emma,Susan,cousin Joy

Hi to June from Melbourne too.
I am in the eastern suburbs near Box Hill
Born and bred in Abbotsford ( Richmond ) in the late 40s

G'day again to Allan in the sandgropher state :-)
Hope you are keeping well mate.

~~~~~ to Vette, Loz, Sue,JA, Mary,Zack,Huia
Emma. Hope he wasn't a relo....lol
He was a Gordon by surname.
Just found another couple of convict relo's last week, and my count now stands at 10 transportee's in my family tree. Two being first fleeters.....and i'm worried now that my decendants hundreds of years from now, after they read my family history album, they will bury it in the garden,not wanting others to know they come from a long line of crooks and petty criminals...:-D
One of my grandsons is decendant from those two First fleeter convicts on his fathers side. They married on Norfolk Island in 1790.
After tracing the lines down to my grandson......what grabbed my attention was my grandsons, fathers, parents are distant cousins ( many times removed ) but they dont know it...:-D
Not that it matters,( makes for a more interesting tree ;-) ) but shows how unpopulated our colony/country was during european settlement, and those who are decendant from our early convict days and free settlers, its quite possible and most likely that there will be many,many marriages of distant cousin decendants down the line from our 1st,2nd,3rd fleets.
Dont ya just love Family History...:-D
Wishing all a great evening/day
Tony..... :-)
Morning/evening all. Haven't come across a Gordon yet in my
tree, phew lucky break, but that means nothing as am stuck with
all the usual Scottish names and there is a heck of a lot of them
on both sides of my tree and OH.
Love this hobby of mine also till I hit a brick wall,lucky to have only
one that drives me round the bend, been looking for decades, ah
the joys.
Have a good one all and take care. :-)
hi, I had turned the computer off because I couldnt get on here, turned it back on and tried a different method - urghh every single time. but anyway.
We are lucky to have a few sunny spots. one is marked clearly from where the birds enjoy it too
I don't mind the brick walls so much anymore, so wonderful when you get somewhere.
have a great day or a peaceful evening xxxxxxx
Huia Report 11 Jul 2011 21:15
I had a brick wall that I thought I could never break down then I recently discovered that a cousin had something in his tree and asked where he got the info. It turns out that his exwife had written to Glos. reg. office many years ago and had got the info from them. No more sore head over that one, although it goes only 1 or 2 steps back, but it is a start.
