rofl moonbi - you know why I say it's feral!
It was nice 20 years ago, then the developers took over.
Every time we have visitors, they want to go there......... and then say "is this IT?"
We could go mad and take them to Nimbin
by the way....... third day in a row with NO rain! 22C & sunny :-D

Hmmmm A Big Root... well in the USA they ROOT for their team. Here in Australia is days before electric heaters and recycle air con we had the good old malley root aka stump off the tree to warm us both in a stove and a fire place. We don't root for our teams here .. well technically some ladies of vast looseness do but its frowned upon. In the 1960's young man had a sticker on their cars with the letters NRNRH... or NO ROOT NO RIDE HOME. This was to inform any young lady suck somewhere too far away from home and needing a ride home also as a "cab fare" had to give the owner/driver of the car a ride or sex as payment. We do root the opposite sex here in Australia (unless u r like Bob Brown) but we prefer to call it sex or ask "Do ya wanna have a F**K??" :-D

Hello all, this is my first post in ages ,I have just read the last page and had a very good Laugh Ha Ha about the root or be it a tree that has toppeled over .and Ronald a very long but correct explaination of Root, enough said on that subject.
How are you all over the big Pond Badger, It is ruddy cold here in Bathurst.the frosts have been very heavy since May, it took out all the tomatoes however the spinich is doing well also the cabbages and the brocolli.. New Zealand had another Earth Quake to-day, so far no casualties reported thank goddness.
We are into our football season Australian rules football , our local team (The Bathurst Bush Rangers )are going very well ,I havent managed to get to a home game, I hope to this weekend if it is fine.
June it was nice to see your post, I still love travelling and do it as much as I can, I have a friend who likes to get away so we often pack our bags and take off. Four of us are going down to the Dandonongs Flower festival in September.,we are going by coach and train.
I must close I am feeling hungry time for a coffee I think.
<3 & Hugs Marie ;-)

Hi Zack
Changed my pic back to cookies.
My previous pic was the BR which is actually a sculpture, not a fallen-down tree. You'll find it if you g**gle - try Byron Bay Big Root (its official name is something else, can't remember what, but everyone here calls it The Big Root).
Shivering at the thought of Bathurst in winter!

Hi Scozz, I havent put a Pic on as I dont know how to do it.
Yes it is freezing,I have spent the last hour trying to get into the Shipping index"s for Nsw and Vic finally got into the Vic ones but no success, not very good at Accessing the sites. anyway I meant to say I am now frozen as I turned the heating off before lunch, it is a nice sunny day but where my computer is located doesn't get any sun so the room is cold, if I had the money I would get a lap top and sit out side in the sun. Have a nice day ;-) Marie

Hi All ,long time ,not been on ,lol. Zack ,the frosts have only been gone from the north of England for 3 weeks ,and after a few sunny days ,i got up this morning ,and had to put the heating back on for the wife :-( 18 c in the house at 7 am]. Got the garden finished apart from a little weeding anyway ,so ,if i could have a little more warmth ,it would please me,wondering if we are going to get a worse summer than the last two years,PAH ,global warming ? more like a mini ice age in the offing :-(. Hope you are in a dry part of the country and not in a flood plain ,it would be just your luck. Had a nice stuffed marrow for dinner yesterday ,scooped the middle out ,and filled it with a mixture of brown ,cooked rice ,chopped red onion and a red pepper .salt pepper, and a tin of skipjack Tuna,,wrapped in foil and placed in the big oven with roast tatties ,red onion ,pepper.and sweet potato ,all roasted together, lol, that was the weekend ration used up ,toast for dinner today ,lol :-D. Still hoping to fire up the B B Q over the next couple of days ,i have some sword fish steak here ,some raw mackeral ,and snags and some sliced steak ,roll on the sun :-D. Is Tony set for his holiday yet? ,It must be nice and warm in Indonesia by now ,and his wallet should be nice and fat ,for Barbie to do a little raiding ,or has he found a wallet in jungle camoflage he he. Have a nice holiday weekend all over there ,no matter what the weather is like :-D :-) Fred.

Hello Moonbi, I feel the same way , it has been so cold here the frosts ,when it isn't raining are like snow, I have a brother in Rockhampton , I think I will suggest that we do a deal I will go to him in the middle of winter for a couple of weeks and he can come to me in the hotter months, sound good LOL
Hi Shaz, Is that you in the picture, nice to see you on here, Bribie Island sound Nice. It would be nice to make the meet. We will see. Please keep us informed will you.
Hi Badger , it is nice to hear you are still with us. Is your Hissy still around? you did not mention her. Still being the chef, it is too cold here for gardening when I turn my heater on each morning it say;s it is 8 degrees it doesn't register any lower even if it is -7 deg.
You may have heard our Electricity & gas has risen sharply I received my power bill 2 days ago it has risen from $ 400.00 last year at this time , to $638.00 and from the 1st July it is to rise another 15%.. Not a good out look for us Pensioners.
Hi June, I hope my computer goes for a lot longer as I need a new Mobile phone ,I dropped it the other day and now it wont work. So Sad LOL,
Hi Scoz, I will give your instructions a go ,Many thanks :-)
Hi Ronald, did you play in a band? I was a Singer and a Pianist , music has filled my life with much Joy ,I now am a tutor with the University of the Third age.I have a group of seniors that I teach Singing ,they are doing very well, and I love teaching them.
Has any one heard from Tony????? :-(I dont think he would be able to drag Barbara away from the house while Wimbledon is on ;-) ;-) :-D so I don't think he will be in BALI Love to you all Marie( from cold Bathurst) :-\

Hi Zack, back online again after getting my old faithful puter back from the sick computer hospital ,[Curry's],lol fully restored after i downloaded an upgrade on adhobe with an imbedded bug in ,namely one Sweetim.com which infected half the hard drive ,tried to get it out and wiped service pack one ,and the internet connection driver ,lol,i had one sick computer :-( . No sooner had i got it home and started the restoration of my files ,than the deluge hit Newcastle ,and my street ,which in three minutes looked more like the river Tyne ,than a road.. Half the north east main line is still closed today with signals and points not working the worst rain storm i have seen in thirty years :-| ,We did stop it getting into the house [just] but Les down the street towards the corner ,got flooded out. Hissy is still here much the boss as ever ,it's hard for me ,lol ,two headstrong women in the same house ,he he. Think Tony may be in his Den ,sorting out his pennies ready for the holidays ,which can't be far away ,but he may still be sorting out his property after the flood ,i now know how he feels if that's the case :-0. Know how you feel about the weather ,the end of June and i am still using the heating early in the mornings .so cold here that nothing is growing apart from the stuff in the green house. Time to go and make some tea ,just some crumpets tonight as neither of us are very hungry ,think it's time to get the Marmite out ,yum. Catch you later ,take care over there , i notice things are not very clever there either ;-) Fred

Hi All
Marie thats a big electricty bill ,maybe it's gas and electric together even if it is it's very expensive .I shudder to think how much the increase will be after July 1st .
We had to get a new computer still getting used to it .Marie make sure you shop around for new mobile phones ,some good deals around .I didnt use mine much ,just in car etc .When mine needed replacing took the plunge got an iphone so much easier to use ,I mainly use it for texting and taking pics of grankids .I get free texts and $500.00 odd calls ,mind you when you get the bill calls quite expensive ,but I use home phone for long calls and never exceed calls on mobile .
Sun is shining in Melbourne at moment nice to see ,not sure for how long .
Cheers June :-)

Hello all, Hi Tony ,fancy you being related to Warwick Capper.,what can I say ,well he was a good player for 2 seasons and then his head got so big he got top heavy. No! we wont tell anyone not much. The Bathurst Bushrangers A F L are doing very well we haven't lost a game this season. I wish I was off to a warmer climate.
You were very unlucky Badger did it cost very much to have it repaired? I have been lucky so far no bad bugs.I am pleased to hear Hissy is still with you, it is nice to have an animal friend.
June it was electricity only we have bottled gas where we are, and the electricity rates went up on the 1st July by 18%., not 15% as I thought.I will have to find some savings some where.
Hi Ronald , why I asked was because I thought you were holding a musical instrument in your Photo.
We actually had a nice Sunny day to-day after zero this morning however the wind was icy.I stayed inside all day.
June my daughter has an iphone that she is going to give me so that will be great Telstra must want her business as they are giving her a new phone, so she took their offer and I get her fairly new one, I hope I will be able to use it as a I have had mine for about 5 years.
I must go time to cook a meal for myself and my grand daughter she is having a sleep over to-night Stay well & GO Collingwood YAH and Go the Swans Yeh! ;-)
Ps So sorry Coz I missed yo, I hope your weather is better than what we are having and you are well. Kindest regards Marie :-D

Hi All
Tony fancy being related to Warrick Capper ,seen him the other night on legends match you have to wonder if he just acts vague ,he was a good footballer in his day . My family smiling after Carlton's win Friday ,who would have thought ..Go to show anything is posiible in sports .
Marie that is a very big electricity bill hopefully you may be able to shop around there's supposed to be deals to be had from different providers ..On a happier note you'll love the iphone ,I was hopeless on my old mobiles ,could barely manage them ,but iphone is much more user friendly for the more senior people like me .
Here in my part of Vic we have actually seen some sun ,it's still cold but seeing a blue sky is a nice change . :-D
