To each of you who have posted on here. On Christmas Day I saw, through the technology of Skype all my children and their children.....no mean matter when that is 6 children, 8 grandchildren, 5 spouses, 5 sets of inlaws, 3 grandmothers, and one 92 year old great grandma ! Aren't we so fortunate to live in such times?

This meant that I was able to see ZZ.......she is petite, but looked healthy and she waved at me which brought tears of joy to me, she did not want to talk which Is not a surprise and my sister is sending me a photo of them all which I shall treasure.

Meanwhile I pray that you all had a pleasant Christmas Day and hope to hear from you soon,

Best wishes

Bridget

Oh Gerard

I think you are right on both of your questions......a mistake most definetly!

Christmas is often mad in our home as we always tell people who will be on their own that they are very welcome at any time and always have plenty of good Christmas food etc

Ahhhhhhh, see hhhhhhh I sm most definetly a FORD, on how to get off any mistake.

By the way......today I have been able to find my "father's " name and it is Not Farady..... Can send message directly to you if you wish to know more. Happy Christmas :-D :-). Also on ANC...RY but not on my tree on here. Very emotional when I found it through another tree .......

Little ZZ is such a fighter and I hope the stent being put in on Christmas Eve will help her and the family enjoy a good Christmas and be able to look forward to a bright New Year. Every month the family get to keep ZZ with them is a bonus and it may be that she will be as lucky as Val's family and have her with them for many years.

Val I hope your son has a great birthday and continues to be able to work full time, he has done very well and I hope it continues. You must be really thankful but I expect living on a knife edge for a long time has taken it's toll.

Merry Christmas to you Bridget and Val and all those who have loved ones who are poorly.

Val,
How great to hear from you, I am not good at recalling peoples names but think of you and your son very often but especially when ZZ is in hospital.
Your message all that time ago really did give me and the family hope and that meant so much as to how to get through day by day.
It must have been such a strain during years gone by and I expect there are still times when you worry...who wouldn't?

Wishing yo a very Happy Christmas

Hello Bridget

I haven't been on this thread for a while. It is good to know that ZZ is home for Christmas and also that her mum is organising more awareness about CF. My son, as you know, has Cystic Fibrosis and is doing really well at the moment. The last time he was in hospital was a couple of years ago with a chest infection, but has been okay since, thank goodness. It's his birthday in January, when he will be 46 and is still working full time (which many years ago, we didn't think was possible). Hopefully, they will soon find a cure for this dreadful disease which may be too late for David as he is now an adult, but for ZZ and the many children who have CF. My best wishes to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year and of course, ZZ.

Val

Amazing news that ZZ is now home. I'm praying that she will stay well and her parents and sisterand all the family can enjoy being together for Christmas.

Sorry that your nephew will be apart from his wife and baby, but needs and circumstances dictate this at times of illness within a family unit.

Remember to enjoy your own Christmas/New Year festivities too and relax with less stress while you may..

Aww Bridget,
There are lovely people on here who really do care about others. Many of them going through such a lot themselves. I think it does help to share our worries and troubles with people outside the family.
I wish your family a very special Chirstmas and New Year and pray little ZZ gets stronger and keeps well.
Take care <3 Sylvia

Dear friends, that is what I have decided to call you all. I can only say that in my deepest sad moments re my great niece you have helped me and my family more than you could possible imagine.
ZZ has brought us together, I have shared my fear not only for ZZ but also for my sister who at one time could not come to terms with this sad situation.
Some of you who replied to my very first entry have been with me every step of the way........such a pity that somehow we lost that thread and so I started again.

I wish that I could meet you all just to shake your hand, give you a hug and say " you are my Guardian Angel". .

Re my nephews' wife, yes she will have many years with her husband and child and no matter how old you are there is still such sadness when your parents die. She is an intelligent young woman and with fantastic technical knowledge we have these days she will be able to see everyone on Christmas day.

Back to ZZ! Her mother is now in the process of organising more awareness by her talking to groups, arranging events and is aiming for £50000.00 by the middle of next summer. What a wonderful aim, more concerts, baking days, raffles, win prizes, walks, swimming events etc etc.........if anyone has other ideas on what she could do please add it on here.

Well my coffee is getting cold so bye bye for now, enjoy your day

Bridget

Lovely that ZZ is at home and with her family and that her Grandmother is nearby so can help out lots, which must be a great support for her Mum.

A shame about ZZ's uncles family being split but great that their little one has a clean bill of health, there will be other times to be together and his wife will need him if/when her Mum loses her own battle.

You must feel more relieved yourself, knowing ZZ has fought back yet again.
