Hello everyone.

Yesterday OH and I went out shopping and had a few good buys but when we arrived home we were both feeling worn out and un well. Mor about that on my Daily Diary
I have not heard anything from my sister, I called her just a few minutes ago but no reply, so trying to keep positive.

As soon as I get a call or a message I will let you know what the news is.....I am hoping that it is good news.

Good afternoon to you all and thank you for your messages.
A few points.
ZZs family did not live in London when ZZ was born but to keep there privacy I am not allowed to say exactly where they did live.
The local doctor was very good and they were sent to a Famous childrens hospital in London. It was only when they moved because A doctor in London told them about Bristol having first contacted the Doctor there and as it is known to be the leading light in this area that they moved,
I hope that explains it more clearly.

Yes Ann the present Consultant is in contact with the doctor in Pakistan, and you all may be interested to learn that it was a Doctor in America who researched tjis and told the doctor in Bristol...they now work very closely together.

Well dear people I will notify again until I hear what happens on Thursday, unless there is something special to add,

My heartfelt thank you

Bridget

That is interesting Bridget. Two things occur to me. I wonder if they treat the diease differently in Pakistan and if the British hospital had contacted somebody to find out.

Secondly How awful for the first hospital to state that he could not possible be the father without knowing the full facts. What trouble they could have caused.

Hello to you all

I had a chat with my sister earlier today and learned the following which I found interesting.

The father of ZZ comes from Pakistan and when his daughter was first found to have her condition terrible times occurred. The reason being that the Indian continent do not have this dreaded illness and the hospital in London were adamant that the child could not be his!!! you can imagine the chaos that made.??
Finally it was found that the part of Pakistan he comes from does in fact have this disease BUT itis rare and has "developed its' own way of working and that is why ZZ is not developing the same as most people in the UK with this condition.

I am not sure why I was not told this before. maybe because I was so unwell myself, but, better late than never.

Of course it does not change the fears etc but as you have all been so amazing in keeping ZZ in your mind I just thought I would share this with you.

Bye bye now until tomorrow, I hope you all have a pleasant evening.

Bridget

Thank you all for your messages and kind words. They are much appreciated.

I did not contact my sister yesterday and will not do so today, I am trying to give her a some breathing space and I know that if ZZ has to move again or worsens, she will let me know.

Thank you, hardly seems enough, to say to you all.....your continued interest and support is truly wonderful.

Hugs to you all.

Bridget who is trying to "look on the Bright side of life" :-) :-)
