I do hope little ZZ is on the mend again and can be at home for Christmas with those who love her so much. She certainly has had some battles to face but let's hope she fights back again as she usually does and shows those docs and the illness who is boss.

Special thoughts to her and her family

GOOD NEWS!
ZZ is home! She has been allowed to go home as long as her mother is with her all the time. She must not be taken out of her home .......not to much of a problem as her mum lives much closer to my sister . Therefor my sister takes her older sister to and from school and to the school events.

How can I thank you all for your interest, your prayers, your kind thoughts etc etc......

Thank goodness my niece is a qualified nurse otherwise ZZ would still be in hospital.

The other news is that ZZs uncle, brother of her mum will spend his Christmas day as usual with his mother...the down side is that his wife and their few months old daughter will be on the IOW as her mother is seriously ill and there is no chance of her mother will improve.. At least their little one has been tested re the the condition of ZZ and she is clear.

Smiles everywhere.

:-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3

Very pleased to hear that ZZ is home....hope she will continue to improve and that they will all enjoy a lovely Christmas together.

So sorry to hear about your nephew's mother-in-law, but good to hear that his baby daughter is clear from the same condition as ZZ.

Bridget, hope that you and your family will have a good Christmas.

Love, Sallie.xx

Good news indeed that she is home for christmas, sad that her uncle's family will be split for Christmas and sad about his monther in law. But, good and bad, great news that his little one is clear. I hope zz can enjoy her Christmas at home.

Lovely that ZZ is at home and with her family and that her Grandmother is nearby so can help out lots, which must be a great support for her Mum.

A shame about ZZ's uncles family being split but great that their little one has a clean bill of health, there will be other times to be together and his wife will need him if/when her Mum loses her own battle.

You must feel more relieved yourself, knowing ZZ has fought back yet again.

Dear friends, that is what I have decided to call you all. I can only say that in my deepest sad moments re my great niece you have helped me and my family more than you could possible imagine.
ZZ has brought us together, I have shared my fear not only for ZZ but also for my sister who at one time could not come to terms with this sad situation.
Some of you who replied to my very first entry have been with me every step of the way........such a pity that somehow we lost that thread and so I started again.

I wish that I could meet you all just to shake your hand, give you a hug and say " you are my Guardian Angel". .

Re my nephews' wife, yes she will have many years with her husband and child and no matter how old you are there is still such sadness when your parents die. She is an intelligent young woman and with fantastic technical knowledge we have these days she will be able to see everyone on Christmas day.

Back to ZZ! Her mother is now in the process of organising more awareness by her talking to groups, arranging events and is aiming for £50000.00 by the middle of next summer. What a wonderful aim, more concerts, baking days, raffles, win prizes, walks, swimming events etc etc.........if anyone has other ideas on what she could do please add it on here.

Well my coffee is getting cold so bye bye for now, enjoy your day

Bridget

Aww Bridget,
There are lovely people on here who really do care about others. Many of them going through such a lot themselves. I think it does help to share our worries and troubles with people outside the family.
I wish your family a very special Chirstmas and New Year and pray little ZZ gets stronger and keeps well.
Take care <3 Sylvia

Amazing news that ZZ is now home. I'm praying that she will stay well and her parents and sisterand all the family can enjoy being together for Christmas.

Sorry that your nephew will be apart from his wife and baby, but needs and circumstances dictate this at times of illness within a family unit.

Remember to enjoy your own Christmas/New Year festivities too and relax with less stress while you may..

Hello Bridget

I haven't been on this thread for a while. It is good to know that ZZ is home for Christmas and also that her mum is organising more awareness about CF. My son, as you know, has Cystic Fibrosis and is doing really well at the moment. The last time he was in hospital was a couple of years ago with a chest infection, but has been okay since, thank goodness. It's his birthday in January, when he will be 46 and is still working full time (which many years ago, we didn't think was possible). Hopefully, they will soon find a cure for this dreadful disease which may be too late for David as he is now an adult, but for ZZ and the many children who have CF. My best wishes to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year and of course, ZZ.

Val
