I loved Maggie's Mothers day poems. Brain has not gone back into gear yet as we have not been able to fully unpack. Daughter and OH are still with us - going out for lunch, they are taking us for Mothers day.

Lake District was not inspiring this year as most of the time it was very misty and we couldn't see the views.

Wend, it was a good idea of Maggie's to write something for mother's day wasn't it, I hope anyone else who would like to will do the same :-D

I've already replied to Maggie - her poems were lovely.

Bridget, how about taking one of the old photos and doing a piece on it?

I am busy today, saving hundreds of photos, many very old, today and then putting them all on a special gadget I bought just got photos. Not sure what to do with some of them as they are so old.

Yesterday I also found the two pieces I did a long time ago about my life..I think I will tweak it and then add more.

I will add something on here tomorrow. Have Film night from a 7 pm and other things arranged for today.

Bridget in answer to your query, the ideas are usually only on here. But write anything if they don't appeal. \afraid there probably won't be anything from me this week as we are in the L District with our daughter.

Wend please start a painting thread, I would join, as I am an artist too,watercolours mostly, but just started with arcylics. Were you serious ? Tho I cannot for the life of me know how I would post my pictures !!!!

MY SUGGESTIONS FOR A STORY/POEM ARE:-

Title...A new pursuit

First lines...use which ever one takes you fancy are.....
1) It had started as a good idea
2) Why had she/he agreed to come
3) So many choices, where to start
4) Would this ever end

Words to use all or whatever you want
are
Night classes, coffee bar, annoying person(either male or female), slamming door, wrong room and old classmate.

Hope that inspires some, I must admit I feel now a bit like Ann when she said she couldn't think of anything !!!

lol Wend, 'evocative' is fine by me whether it's said once or twice :-D ( I hadn't noticed actually ).

A painting thread would be nice, I love looking, though it's a very long time since I did any, I'm sure there are quite a few painters on here.

Met up with Pete last night Rose and I told him how I had enjoyed reading your recent piece. He agreed - 'I told her it was 'evocative' he said. 'Oh dear', I said, 'That's what I said - she probably thinks we're in league' LOL

Again, apologies to all I haven't replied to, but I will do in due course. Haven't received any offerings from BC lately, but rest assured, I have read all your earlier ones, BC, and will reply in due course.

I need a painting thread on here, so I can I can send you all my latest works for you to comment on and tear apart - grrr!

I have just read through the last three pages and ended by admiring everyone's ideas. Ann will know that recently, very recently I started writing again and lo and behold I received praise..it made me feel so good.

I will keep writing but need to know, are we sent by email what the choices are, or, do we look on here?

I'm up and running with new internet provider today so will try and catch up with everything ( raises eyes to heaven..highly unlikely concept me 'catching up'!). Thankyou for your last piece BC :-D
