AnninGlos Report 23 Jan 2012 21:35

I have a request to all GR Writers group presently active (i.e. receiving pieces).

Excluding Rose and Maggie who have both apologised for non response. Could I ask if all who are receiving pieces are happy to do so? And, if you are, do you always respond if only to let the writer know that you have received a piece. Of course it is nice if you can comment on each piece but if not, could you just say thank you for the piece titled....... or something similar so that we know they are not languishing in a black hole somewhere.

Finally thank you to the regulars who always but always respond (you know who you are). Your thoughts and constructive criticisms are much appreciated.

Rose, if any of our 'team' don't read the boards would you please forward this to them. Thanks.

Ann :-)

Nudging this up because it sank down the threads very quickly

Rambling Report 23 Jan 2012 22:37

Hi Ann, thank you for that thought, I shall try to at least say a 'thanks' for each piece received, it is always my intention to try and comment as well, but I get 'sidetracked' :(

Does anyone think it would be worth trying to stick to an agreed sending date? so all could be commented on in one fell swoop? Not nec' just sending one piece but if you have morethan one a week , sending them all together ?

Wend

Wend Report 23 Jan 2012 22:45

Thanks to all those who have sent me their work - I have replied to some, but not all yet. Will do as soon as I have a peaceful moment. Up and down at present, what with one thing and another. Enjoying being a reader very much, so far :-)

Rambling Report 23 Jan 2012 22:52

Thankyou Wend :-) I'm glad you're enjoying the reading! that's really why I was thinking it might be better to send out all pieces on the same day to give us all say a week to reply before the next batch? I know if I have to do something it's easier if I do it to a 'deadline' ( lack of discipline lol).

Mauatthecoast Report 23 Jan 2012 23:12

Thanks for your birthday wishes Maggie,Ann and Rose :-Dx

Some of the readers acknowledge my writing pieces, but not all.

I feel I don't want to have a deadline Rose,I remember in the early days most of us sent them out together, but some days the words flow and others I struggle with.
I don't wish to appear awkward, I very rarely send more than one out at a time anyway

..........and thanks for sending out the prompt Ann

That's fine Mau :-D I am happy with whatever everyone wants to do...lol I can't think of anything to write myself this week, not as a story or comments really , brain's full of straw :-D

Good morning fellow scribblers.

I'm happy to e-mail my pieces on a Friday when I'm in a weekend mood - whatever that is - rather than ad hoc. Hope that's ok.

Thanks for all the feedback.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 24 Jan 2012 09:32

Well, we always used to send out at the weekend so I am happy to do that. Weekend being friday to Sunday to give some leeway. But I really don't mind receiving them any time. Perhaps we could have a sort of weekend deadline for acknowledgements/replies for those sent earlier.

ButtercupFields

ButtercupFields Report 24 Jan 2012 10:31

I don't really mind how we do it, although I prefer deadlines myself. I agree it would be nice to get acknowledgements from readers but it doesn't bother me unduly as I will just scribble on regardless! In fact, if someone does not like something I write I would prefer a silence rather than a 'that's nice' lol And my thanks, as ever, to those who read and comment. :-)

Mau and Mags.....a very belated Happy Birthday!! XX BC

...and just to say I have not read the last few 'donations' as yet. I shall do that as soon as I can :-)

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 24 Jan 2012 11:46
