Well I tried , I really did .. but by the time I had slapped on all the face creams , used tooth whitener , straightened my hair, put on my night bra and amazing pants that make you loose weight while you sleep ..
de fuzzed everything bar the cats and found the cling film ............................
......................................................................................................................................
OH had been asleep for 4 hours :-(
Think I will just stick to letting him have a few glasses of his home made wine on a Friday night from now on..

A work colleague, newly retired, has always been high maintenance with liberal use of lotions, potions and monthly professional hair dyes, whilst ‘watching what she ate’.

A very ‘feminine’ person, I thought she looked rather good until OH met her. His opinion? It wasn’t worth the money as she isn’t much to write home about!

My ‘beauty regime’? Make up removal wipes at night, and a morning moisturiser. Gave up with mascara except for special occasions as it always smudged taking days to get off. Ditto with foundation as it felt as if my skin couldn’t breathe. My only daily concession is lipstick if we are out.

Haven’t removed leg hairs for the last 25 years or so (if does help being fair) and underarms perhaps twice a year if it is warm enough to wear sleeveless tops.

Those models on the adverts ought to live in the real world where they don’t have the money to buy a range of expensive products, hire a dietician to prepare their meals or have the time to visit a personal trainer.

But lets face it – if they don’t ‘look good’ they don’t have the earning power.

lolol @ Suzanne :-D I think we're sisters

I'm 5'6" and about 65kg/10 stone

I don't watch soaps (saw the first episode of Coronation Street, I think that was like having a vaccination).

My birthday this week. I'm 62 years young. I'm told I don't look it. I know I don't act it lol

I don't wear make-up at home.

I don't take much notice of advertisements for "beauty products". But I try to look after my skin.

I go shopping when I have to - I'm not a "Let's Go Shopping" person. Don't shop much these days, the clothes seem to be for stick people, and I don't want to wear those jeans that feel like they are falling off! They're awful! I'm getting tired of seeing people's backsides when they bend over.

I don't spend hours in the bathroom! I'm one of five children - so with 7 people in the house and 1 bathroom, usually somebody knocking on the door, I learned to be speedy!

Just out of interest, and I'm off to bed so shan't reply tonight, but do you think women watch soaps more than men do because ( as a very broad generalisation) men are interested in how 'things' work and women more interested in how people 'tick'?

Night all :-D

Like Sue I liked to * look after me self * I like to dress nice and put me slap on even for work, its the way I have always since I was 14, I seem to have a constant battle with my weight for a life time however the only mans attention I am interested in is Itsmytellys ( and Jamie Rednapps) now Itsmytelly has seen me at worse and still loves me so what I do care :-D
