It would be better if the new tree worked before they removed the old tree but in classic GR style they have released this other new version that has faults just as did the old new version did,

Its very unprofessional to use the entire membership as guinea pigs rather than beta testing the product before launching and then blame members cache/browser/secrurity level for the problems they experience.

Maybe they can now work on the New Tree in isolation - I did wonder if any of the problems were due to the site running 2 different trees at the same time.

Hope it does get sorted for all of you who do keep a tree on here. I sypmathise with just how frustrated everyone seems to be at present.

PP, I think that if isolation between the new and old tree was the problem then surly logic would be that the new tree would also make the old tree have some errors?

The old one has now GONE

announced at 11:32 AM less than 2 hours, not much notice :-P

very unprofessional indeed:-P

I cannot believe they have taken the old tree away when the glitches to the new tree are not sorted out. I hate it!

It's been on the cards for the 'old' tree to go ever since the 'new' one was released so it isn't really short notice.

I've just been having a play on the 'new' tree and it seems fine. :-)
What I initially thought were glitches were down to me expecting something else .- if that makes sense lol

I liked the old new tree, but the new new tree has just hiccuped and left my grandfather without his mother, though his siblings all had her...however I have managed to alter it, which I think may have not been possible with the old new tree or the old old tree? ;-)

I was one of the people who went to GR offices to view the new layout, I like it, so if you don't you can blame me :-)

Just reading through faults over the last couple of days and wonder if you spotted a fault such as a misplaced relative and have a substantial tree how long would it take to check your entire tree and rectify the faults?

Roy

Edit, Regardless of whether anyone likes the new tree or hates it.

we accept change as part of every day life and theirs nothing wrong with change but these changes should be tested and errors sorted out before it was launched

Estelle Report 19 Jul 2012 14:54

Hi everyone, the new tree has been fully tested, and it has been live for quite a while, so we are hoping that most bugs have been picked up. However, if you do come across anything then please send details of the problem you are having to our customer support team - [email protected]. They will be more than happy to help you.
Kind regards,
Estelle
