If anyone is thinking of moving to FMP read this first and certainly have a free trial to see what you think of their new tree layout.

I received this mail 20/07/2012

Dear Family Tree Explorer user,

We've been hard at work building a new family tree to replace Family Tree Explorer. This will allow us to offer you a host of new tree tools and services over the coming year and beyond.

After several months of testing the new findmypast family tree, we have now begun to move our existing members' trees into the new version: today it's your turn!
When you visit the website, the only difference you should notice is that when you view your tree, it will look slightly different: all your ancestors' details and any photos or other documents that you've added to them will remain the same and you can add, edit and delete members as before.

My tree has disappeared from the site

Brightsolid have been busy bees :-( :-( :-(

Sort of Huia......once you have clicked on your rellie you have to click on 'OPEN PANEL' and then another click on 'PHOTO' or 'DETAILS' to see the information on them. On the old tree it was all there as soon as you clicked on the rellie. :-S

I have found my Old Tree!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I had it saved in my favourites on the favourites bar. I'm not sure if I can update it or whether changes will transfer to the new tree yet, but just having it there for the existing info will be more user friendly for a while.

David

don't be too hasty in removing your tree on Monday

GR staff don't work over the weekend ........ they stop at about 4:30 pm on Friday and don't return until 8:00 or 8:30 am Monday morning

Those are the hours that are posted for Support ......... which means no-one will have seen your emails, and therefore there will not have been a response to them.

Joan, it is an attachment to an email. It is a text file so you can look at it with notepad and print it if you like, but you need to import it to another family history program to get the sort of printout that you want.

Being a text file, it will not include any photos or records.
