Yes, I agree with you there Lynda, but having watched many cooking programmes, I find that in particular the baking tins, are from Lakeland. Do you have a shop near you. We have one in Derby, which I will look in occassionally. But they are very expensive.

There's a large Lakeland not far from me Julia, and I often go in there. They have so many odds and ends that you don't see anywhere else, which are reasonably priced, but like you say, there are some things that seem extremely expensive, so once I;ve seen them in there I look on-line for the cheaper version :-D

I don't watch very much T.V Joy, but the Bake off is my favourite, apart from the gorgeous Paul, who I could just look at :-D I love the dishes they make, and like the ordinary people who bake, Brendan is a sweetie and very knowledgeable baker, Sarah Jane, the vicars wife is a good laugh, and Danny the doctor, she's really enjoys her cooking. Shame about the cut finger tonight, good job Danny was there :-D

A good hours viewing, usually I can't watch the t.v for longer than half an hour, it bores me sensless :-)

Really like this programme :-D and think right one went last night...in fact I think she's been lucky to have survived until now.

Just wish some of them practiced hygiene;hair all over the place, touching face and sitting on floor :-| ...but I still like watching.
Have said from the start Brendan or James to win, James is a very talented young fella :-D

I think the right one went last night too, in fact Catherine grated on me a bit, she was a bit to twee, in fact sometimes I thought her childish.

I also think that James or Brendan will win, Brendan is so precise, and obviously loves cooking. James is so talented, and isn't afraid to try something completely outrageous, and it always works, and at just 21 i think he'll be a name to watch :-D

Semi Final night - Patisserie's- :-D

Very hard semi-final Lynda and the three finalists going forward really proved themselves tonight.

On Tuesday's final they have to create a perfect pithivier, or puff-pastry pie, before making fondant fancies and their last showstopper features the notoriously difficult chiffon sponge.

Who to win? :-D

Brilliant programme as usual.
My blood sugars and calorie intake increase terribly, just watching the things they create.
It is going to be a very close call next week.
