I reckon that James will win Mau, I really like his inventiveness, like last night with the bike, he didn't know exactly what he was going to do with it until the end, I love spontaneity, Really ooking forward to the final :-D

Julia did you know that last year, it was an all woman Final? But I think the right 3 have got to the final :-)

There's a free recipe booklet in The Daily Telegraph today by Paul Hollywood.

Yes Lynda, got my copy this morning. Don't know which to start with first. LOLOL.

When is the second part???

PS Just looked inside my copy of the cook book and it says the 2nd part is tomorrow in the Sunday Telegraph, and covers breads and pastries. His book is RRP £20., but you can get it through the Telegraph for £13.99

Will be watching this week, looking forward to it.

Despite the accent Brendan lives in the same city as me (Birmingham). So perhaps I should support him.

:-D :-D :-D

Got the second booklet on Sunday, there will be a lot of baking going on over the next couple of weeks :-D

Tessa, I do like Brendan, he's very passionate about what he bakes, he'd make a lovely neighbour wouldn't he :-D

I got my second part also, yesterday. Won't bother with the book. I have too many already
I darn't have anymore 'work in progress' projects on the go at once, in case I have to rush off to St. Elsewhere, for a few day But, I have nearly put the garden to bed, just abit of tree tidying up, and all the bagging up, and by the end of the week, hopefully, I will have the grandaughter and the four gt.grandaughters Christmas present finished. Once they are all wrapped up, and put away, I am game for anything, cooking wise.
I havn't done much in that department this year, and still have my Strawberry Jam and Bramble Jeely to make. I am looking forward to using some of the recipes in both leaflets, but I will not be up to Brendans standards, despite baking for years for a big family, though I havn't killed anyone yet.
Lynda, please keep us informed of what you make, how easy it was, and the outcome.

Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Well who had tears then? what a great final all equal in my eyes but John's chiffon centre piece cake looked fantastic didn't it?

It was hard at the end to see who would win overall but John was a worthy winner and did his mother proud :-D

~Lynda~ Report 16 Oct 2012 22:17

It was a great final wasn't it Mau I also think John was a worthy winner.

I felt a little sorry for Brendan he so wanted to win.

Will miss my weekly look at the gorgeous Paul now :-(

:-D

ah Lynda poor Brendan he couldn't speak for tears.
Was lovely to read afterwards that he was giving his time to teach baking cakes, in care homes :-D

I was very pleased for John. I hope that he gets his wish and manages to do his special course in France.

I think that by now both Brendan and James will be pleased at how far they got n the competition.
I hope that Brendan's planned family reunion went well.

Good luck to all three in the future.
