I would like to draw your attention to the word b*****y in the OP.

Disgraceful. Disgusted of Pontypandy. :-P

AnnCardiff Report 27 Aug 2012 12:12

so sense has prevailed :-)

Merlin Report 27 Aug 2012 12:59

Perhaps a "Satnav" as a gift with the "Ode" as a talkover. :-D :-D

AnnCardiff Report 7 Jan 2013 21:20

why has this been brought forward

'Emma' Report 8 Jan 2013 10:13

Gremlins at work.......who brought it forward cause
it wasn't me?

Emma x :-|

JustJohn Report 8 Jan 2013 10:20

I nudged it forward simply to make a point.

I have been told off for starting a thread several times that was similar to another thread.

Whne someone did that yesterday, I suggested they simply nudge forward old thread and they refused to do that - and it was quite a good thread from 2 month previously with identical post.

So this was my attempt to show how easy it is to nudge an old post forward. It can be deleted by OP or drop down the pages again.

It was a funny post about male and female drivers, but then so was the same post on October 27th. With quite a few comments.

John you repeat yourself daily ..stop trying to learn members how to run the board they are more than capable without your interference .

AnnCardiff Report 8 Jan 2013 11:16

God give me strength :-S

talk about teaching your grandmother to suck eggs

PollyinBrum Report 8 Jan 2013 12:49

Once again I am

Merlin Report 8 Jan 2013 12:53

Perhaps it was bought forward again so that the person who RRd it can regain memories of the "Back Seat Of a Car." :-D :-D :-D :-D

'Emma' Report 8 Jan 2013 13:01

And that concerns me how!!

JustJohn Report 8 Jan 2013 13:16

GG I just picked this thread at random to make a point last night. Only reason it is still on Page 1 is that people keep posting. No intention to embarrass you - purely random to bring this thread forward.

I was just making a point about the total hypocrisy of one or two posters who harangue me for doing same things they praise their friends for.

AnnCardiff Report 8 Jan 2013 16:13

please give us an example of a posting you have made which has been criticised as a double posting

BTW, double postings are not a problem on General as I see it - it's on Find ancestors where it's a major problem and can't say I've seen you on there

JustJohn Report 8 Jan 2013 16:20

It will take me ages to find the examples, Ann. And I feel I have made my point - as Dr Robyn Lewis might say. It happened twice early on. I was told quite rudely that there was another similar thread and I should delete mine.

I assumed that was what usually happened. I have seen others since be told it would be better to delete OP and join in with another thread.

But when I suggest it, the balloon goes up. :-D :-D

AnnCardiff Report 8 Jan 2013 16:48

well similar/duplicate postings, s far as I am concerned, are no poblem at all on the chat board
