I have only just seen your thread. I have been having exactly the same problems as you have been experiencing.
I wrote to GR about this and also about losing some info. They replied asking me for details of missing info. which i gave them, and replied, saying have a look , and lo and b ehold, there it was.!!!! Strange or what.
Re the not being to add place of birth, they gave no answer to me.
It has been ok for a couple of days, but..............watch this space.

Write to them, asking for an explanation, i would be v. interested to hear what they have to say.

I've been in touch with GR about problem adding people to my tree.
They asked me what system I was using, problem not yet resolved.

Apparently, when you tick 'watched threads', GR is supposed to send you an email when someone adds to it.

Don't rely on it working though! Its best to look under 'my threads' to see if there are any new posts on a thread you've posted on. ;-)

Gone brain dead about your other problems. Some might be caused by comptability problems. Lets hope some one more IT literate will spot this

I have several problems with this new system. I cannot get 'save' and 'cancel' on the ADD Child. and also keep getting 'error on page' and a quarter of the family tree appears on the srceen. What are watched threads?

I have had this problem a couple of times and found that if I came out of that persons details and then went back to them the bits that I had added were there

Seems to working fine on my tree. As you've had success on some occassions, you've obviously found the 'save' button at the bottom of the page. Some people have to reduce the zoom to be able to see it.

Best to contact GR to see if there is a 'bug' that needs fixing, or they can suggest a remedy.

Does anyone else have the problem. I try to put second names, places of birth and occupations onto my tree but it fails to record them, it records them on the odd occassion but fails the majority of the time. Is it my computer or is it a problem with GR. :-(
