signed and dedicated to the artist Robert Bevan....l read that as being RB was the artist..But Bernard was, or am l really thick?? (probably)...lol

Hi Jude I had a look a few days ago, interesting that the seller mostly sells coins and cameras, but does put in random things so I suspect he goes to auctions and buys odd bits that are interesting also.

I would read the "signed and dedicated to the artist RB" as if it were given to that artist as a gift?

looking at RB's pictures I wouldn't have 'thought' it was his style. If you look at Robert Bevan images there is one pencil sketch of 'Breton peasants' the same spareness in line isn't there don't think?

l rang the seller yesterday, it was a Meninsky a gift to RB. He was surprised l was'nt bidding for it......l wish l could.

What a way to store a painting will the paint crack when stretched?

I am on my mobile so pic a little small...lol

l really don't know, it would probably need to be kept nice and flat before framing and there is another picture on the back, don't like the first one. Won't be bidding:((

Jude I have just read the life of your Gt Grandfather(0r is it Gt Gt ) sorry I can't remember.I found it really fascinating.He was a very talented artist(not all my cup of tea) but still interesting to see his works when you put them up.

Must admit there are loads l don't like. He suffered with depression of even bipola and went into dark moods, maybe thats why some are strange?
