I HAVE AN IDEA FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

A FAMILLY TREE
ON THE CHRISTMAS BALLS WRITE A ANCESTORS
NAME AND DATES

AND THEY JOIN YOU FOR CHRISTMAS

I think we all like our Christmas tree to "look good" Sylvia :-D to our own tastes, for some that will be perfectly co-ordinated colours, or 'themes', for others it will be the old decorations that are a bit tatty, for those with children it may be the bits and bobs that the kids make, for Dizzi it might be the baubles that have her family's names on that will look good to HER.

We have a family tradition Dizzy.

No matter where we all are, what we are doing or who we are with..........at 12 noon, we all raise a glass to family members, both past and present.

I am usually a wreck by about 11.30am just thinking about it.

Txt messages are sent all over the place just past 12.........just so that we let each other know that we remembered everyone.

It always makes me sad..............but it's what we do. x

The rest of the family have beautiful colour co-ordinated trees

But I put all my old and not so old decorations on of all colours. Some have lovely memories some not
For me that's what my tree is all about and we love it.

My kids and g,kids have all helped me decorate the tree and they have got memories from it too

DIZZI

DIZZI Report 28 Sep 2012 20:38

To early to even think about Christmas yet. Remind me on the 24th December.

PricklyHolly

PricklyHolly Report 28 Sep 2012 20:46

My main tree is certainly not colour co-ordinated, nor does it have any sort of theme.

Like you Barb............my tree is full of old and not so old bits and bobs from years gone by. Full of all sorts of memories. You would laugh if you saw the angel that sits on the top of the tree.

But it is the most precious angel in all the world.

My tree is beautiful.............and i love it.
