What has happened to Wendy? Where is she?

Cooper

Cooper Report 9 Nov 2012 21:27

Hallo Susan, I haven't dropped in for a while. I have read all the posts and you are all doing well. I on the other hand have not :-( I have been eating healthy breakfast and lunch and dinner but stuffing rubbish in between. My weight is the same as it was when i started.

Oh we'll I'm not going to be a quitter and will be back on track tomorrow. I think I will do the 500 calories on Monday and Tuesday on my days off from work.

Hope all is well with everybody. Perhaps Wendy is away on holiday at the moment?

Teresa :-D

I'm still here but as the thread had gone quiet I stopped adding. I am still sticking to the 5 & 2 diet with the exception of this last week. I have managed to catch flu somehow and feel quite rough. Hot and cold and aching all over. I also have a very persistant cough. I have eaten a lot of porridge when I fancied something hot. I haven't gained yet but the loss is very slow or I has stayed the same but maybe the fact that I haven't felt like exercising either has slowed down the loss.. So far I have lost 8 pounds. What is good, or good for me, is the fact that usually I would have got fed up by now and regained all that I had lost so even if it is slow it is coming off and staying off which is my main aim in doing this diet.

Hope you are all well. Christmas is not far of now the time when we nearly all put weight on

Wendy :-)

Hi Wendy, I hope you are feeling a bit better now. I think the body tells us what we need when we are ill. Porridge is a good food and has no added rubbish to it.

I'm going back to the gym and the slimming club I belong to on Monday. I'm fed up with the spare tyre being above the jeans :-| it's been there for the last 14 years and getting on my wick so I think it's time I tried really hard to part company with it :-D

The weather is grim here so I have just popped out to a lovely gift shop for some Christmas gift shopping. The shop is a converted Chapel and sells really nice things at very reasonable prices. I have already given my eldest her presents in October as she is working on a cruise liner for six months. She is in the Caribbean at the moment with lovely hot weather :-D

You have done well with an eight pound loss. A friend at work has lost 5 stone over a couple of years. Every so often the weight loss slows down sometimes for a few weeks and then she starts loosing again. It's usually between 1-2 pounds per week.

Take care, I will be back on with my progress update

Teresa x :-D

Sorry to hear you are not well Wendy :-(

I am really chuffed this week......I actually bought some jeggings and they look good on me.......I have dropped 3 dress sizes and am feeling great about it. Thanks to Wendy for giving me a push to do something about my increasing waistline. :-D

Hi Teresa and Susan thanks for your good wishes. I feel much better today more like me instead of someone living in a fog.

Good for you Susan on buying the leggings I know just how you feel. It certainly keeps you going when you buy something new, tight fitting and best of all in a smaller size :-D

My aim is to keep off what I have lost and to still keep losing at a steady pace. Stick with it Teresa we can do this. I hope your daughter is enjoying her new job. The shop in the converted chapel sounds lovely and just the sort of place that I would like. Living here I miss the atmosphere you get in the UK when Christmas shopping. Christmas isn't really celebrated here but the 6th January 'Kings Day' is when the Spanish give their presents.

Enjoy the gym and hope you soon start losing the weight again.

Thanks Wendy, I'm off to weigh in and do the aerobics class which goes with it tonight. I fear I may be back to square one but I have a friend going as well so we can keep each other on the straight and narrow. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today :-D

Wow Susan, well done loosing three dress sizes. You must be really chuffed :-D

Will drop in tomorrow with the good or not so good news

Hope you did well last night Teresa and well done to Susanwiv and Wendy and all who are trying. Keep up the good work, I may be joining very soon just so I can gorge at Christmas :-D <3

AnninGlos Report 13 Nov 2012 15:54

Erm! I don't think that is the idea BC :-D

Cooper

Cooper Report 13 Nov 2012 16:33

Oh dear BC, I'm back to what I was when I started In July. I keep loosing and gaining the same 5lbs and have done all year. What a waste of money :-| well not so much of a waste as we get a 45 minute aerobic class as well. I could kick myself because I have only got one stone to loose, well maybe one and a half but at my age it does start to show on your face if you loose too much off your face. I have a big birthday next year, ending with an 0. I can't keep blaming all the baby weight. My youngest is 14 now.

So I am taking the bull by the horns and going cold turkey on chocolate and only having cake as a treat, not every day ;-)

Hallo Ann, hope all is well :-D

Teresa

Don't fret, Teresa, that weight is probably all muscle from the aerobics :-D

AnninGlos Report 13 Nov 2012 17:29

Teresa, hello, yes all well with me thanks.

Actually you do put on muscle with aerobics and muscle does weigh heavy. Have you measured yourself, waist etc, that is more of a guide than weight. :-)

Susan10146857

Susan10146857 Report 13 Nov 2012 23:59

Did you know.....A tin of spring vegetable soup has only 85 calories and lots of goodness.

Today I cooked a pack of Tesco's 5 bean soup mix. I added some garlic and a knorr vegetable stock thingy.....It was soooo tasty.

cake is out for a while..... :-( until I lose a few more pounds.

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 14 Nov 2012 09:18

You have to do a LOT of exercise and a LOT more than once a week for the muscle to build sufficiently to start burning the fat. But also you have to start somewhere so once a week plus walking on some of the other days should help

Come on Teresa, think of buying yourself something new, not necessarily clothes, with the money you will save once you have lost the weight and don't need to pay the diet club each week. There's still time to make a difference before Christmas. Still time for you too BC :-D then you won't want to put it all back on again.

Susan the soup sounds good. Yesterday I made a all in one pot chicken casserole loads of veg but no potatoes. Made enough for two days with one chicken breast.

Ann I owe you an e-mail. I'll do it today :-)

Keep going girls
Wendy x

AnninGlos Report 14 Nov 2012 09:32

Are you still doing the 2 days of 500 calories? I can't stick to that regularly, find it too hard. susan, soup sounded very nice. 5 beans!!!! can see why you'd lose weight eating that :-D

Wendy, no problem!
