I love Stow on the Wold. Last time I went, there was a large kitchenware shop, as well as Scotts. Bought quite a few thing that day.
We're doing the kitchen at the moment, or should I say, Hubby is installing it. Time to get rid of the old plastic breadbin, I think - we only store old bread for the birds in it now!

Love Stow. Don't know this cockerel shop, but will look out for it this summer.

That poppy bread bin sounds great. And you have recycled, Rose :-D

Have just thrown out a 3 piece suite (which I paid £10 for 5 years ago when an elderly lady was trying to clear furniture out of her house she was tring to sell). Wanted to give it me for free, and would not take any more than £10.

Looking a bit frayed, so replaced it with a 3 piece leather suite that cost me £100 from "Too Good to Throw" in Caerphilly, including delivery. £100 for a leather suite!!!! Ah well, same as £2 for a bread bin. Easy come, easy go :-D

I do have the cockerel crockery, although we don't use the cups and saucers, common!

Fred breaks crockery and they worked out at surprisingly good value, until I dropped the box of plates.

Stow-on-the Wold is a day out for me as well.

I would not actually recommend going to their shop because you would be surprised at what you need when you get there.

Sharron, you cannot have anything from Scotts of Stow, with Cockerals on, because I have me eye on them. Just got to knock a kitchen wall out, and put up a new work surface..........

rofl at Gwynne's comment :-)

Sharron being terminally nosey I've just had a look at the Scotts breadbin. I had forgotten them, I know they do some nice things as we used to get their catalogue. I wish I hadn't looked now though lol, some of their furniture is very tempting also, if I get rich :-)

Speaking of rolls, I own a Rolls Canardly. Beautiful vehicle - rolls down hills and can hardly get up other side. :-( :-(

I would prefer that you kept your mind off of my rolls, Swiss or otherwise.

Gave up on the weeding when it got too hot.

Not heard of your Bagots from Calais but I do know of the Bunns from Belgium

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 1 Oct 2012 23:09

Are you still weeding the garden, TS. Just thinking about your Swiss Rolls :-D

Anybody got Bagots from Calais?

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 1 Oct 2012 12:03

Raining here in Pontypandy, TS :-( :-( Mind you, we get a weather alert if the rain ever stops ;-)

I have a family called Rolls they are from Switzerland.

I have no idea whether I am on or off this thread at the moment but I do know I am supposed to be weeding the garden

Animals, TS? Only if they sleep in your bread bin and you have to find alternative places for bread. I find wooden bins better for your puppies, as they smell nice and have a warm, secure feel :-D

Crumbs!

JustJohn Report 1 Oct 2012 11:33

Island :-( :-( Feel sea sick. I have been up and down out of my computer seat 20 times in last 5 minutes. Knees are aching - and my boy kitten with a girl's name (Buddug) looks extremely confused.

Have tried to explain someone is researching a Mexican Wave family on a bread thread, but he still looks a very puzzled kitten :-S :-S
